North Carolina in invincible this year. Nobody will come within 2TDs of them. That means 14 pts. If UNC loses a game this season, it will be because they played their scrubs in a meaningless conference game to give their big studs a rest.

As an unabashed Pac10 whore....I must confess that the Pac10 looks in disarray this season and will be lucky to have a team in the Sweet 16. My Trojans played tough tonight but we don't have enough talent to be a Top 25 team. Arizona State and ucla might be it for tourney threats.

Aslong as UNC dosent win I will be happy.

I cant stand them and that lucky fuck hansborough. He wont even be a good NBA player.

NC looks like a fucking juggernaut. They've beaten some pretty good teams like they were redheaded stepchildren. And they're loaded. Hell, Ginyard's replacement Danny Green is tearing it up. Hansbrough is back. They don't face a viable opponent until Wake Forest.
AZ State doesn't look too bad...except for that Baylor loss. Their schedule is pretty favorable but they're a young team. Pendergraph is the only senior on the team.

UNC is far and away the best out there. But with that said, they always trip up somewhere during the season. Hopefully it'll finally be the Tigers in Chapel Hill this year.

No. 4 Zags Fall To AZ 69-64--Wise and Hill combined for 43 points as the Cats made the most from the least, being out-rebounded by the Zags. Chase Budinger added 14 and two steals to the effort. Gonzaga was led by sophomore forward Austin Daye who scored 22 with 5 blocked shots.

My buckeyes are looking good

The whole Big10 is actually impressing me. Minnesota and in particular Iverson looks pretty good, except for their shooting from the arc. The Bucs have beaten two ranked teams and stay unbeaten. Butler is no slouch. Great program coached by Stevens who lost a ton of talent this year. Remember the Dogs won 30 games last season. Matta coaches a good defensive, transition game. What might concern you though is, like the Gophers, their 3-point game is lacking.

This is the funniest thing I've seen in awhile..next to the shoe toss at Dubya. Just give it a minute and do not sip your coffee or soda when "the moment" comes....

Whoa Jimbo! Static!

The writeup kind of had it...we are about to witness a tortured man...SNAP!

Click on the vid and enjoy..

the problem with college basketball is that all the good players leave after their freshman year....so theres no familiarity like there is in college football

I was about to post on this. The OMen have had too many close calls this season. CState ain't a bad team. Bullock is a helluva player. The Horizon League isn't the ACC but it's tough. Boeheim has always been a crybaby. He's a helluva coach but he fills the Carrier Dome up with so much water they use it for swim meets. I like the Orangemen program but JB has moments when he tarnishes it.

The shot was pretty incredible. He seems more like a coach whose team got destroyed rather than someone who got beat by a prayer...

I don't know why that clip's funny...I keep cracking up over it!

Is Minnesota getting snubbed by the pollsters? They are off to their best start in thirty years, including a win over a Top-10 team.

Portland State "upsets" #7 Gonzaga--Not shocking. The Dogs have a tendency to let losses get them down, like the heartbreaker against UConn. Watching that game in the final seconds of OT, you could see the spirit leaving this team. So here come the Vikings who haven't beaten Gonzaga this decade, and their leading scorer on the night was 5'6" Jeremiah Dominquez. Now PState ain't a bad team--they won the Big Sky last season. But they're tiny compared to Gonzaga, and they have had it rough against top-notch programs. Not last night. And coach Few had better whip his team into shape. They've lost three of their last four games.
Butler "upsets" #14 Xavier--Not surprising either. These Bulldogs pulled it off, with 19 points each from underclassmen Matt Howard and Gordon Hayward. Butler is a perennial tournament team and Horizon league standout. They've lost only once, to #15 Ohio State in a close game. They lost four starters--including Pete Campbell-- this year and have one of the youngest front courts in the nation. Coach Stevens may get courted soon. Very soon.

Okay...okay. So my team The Spartans beat Summit League powerhouse Oakland 82-66. But at least we won. Look at what WVU did to the Bucks! Who can predict this crap? I know it's the Big East and the Mountaineers are 9-2 and pretty good. They have Alex Ruoff and Bob Huggins at coach(who coached under Eldon Miller at OSU), plus Huggins' big chip on his shoulder for being passed up as Buckeye head coach. All that plus a key injury leaving out Lighty and STILL I can't explain this one. All I've been doing is talking up the Big 10 all over the internet, and Matta turns around and lets this happen. The smaller WVU players muscled and out-rebounded the Bucks, holding them to 31% from the floor. I agree in most part that the Big 10 isn't as physical as the Big East or ACC but the talent is there. I suppose it's muscle and intimidation that wins championships. That's something the Big 10 needs to work on.

That is what should be around. People with education who can also shoot the ball. Sometimes, there are other things to do besides basketball is what they consider the most. Somewhere in the future, there will be more underdogs winning. Its becoming a trend and and the way things should be.

Most of the recent games went the way they should have. Illinois upset Purdue. Wasn't really an upset. The Razorbacks upset Oklahoma but Ark is tied for first in the SEC West. Plus they have Washington and freshman Andre Clark.

Big 10 season starts for OSU this afternoon against Iowa. Injury and transfer have thinned the Bucks line up. Can they rebound quickly from the @#$% whoppin they took from Huggins and the Mountaineers................we shall see.
