2010-2011 NCAA Basketball Thread

No doubt about it, the conference is a mediocre conference. I'm willing to bet that it's because the majority of the schools are in cold weather states. Whataya gonna do. When it comes to college hockey, players are more than willing to show loyalty to their state's respective college teams, but NCAA basketball is entirely different altogether.

Like I said in the NBA thread, I GAURANTEE $$$ are being paid to the players .:2 cents:

I think this goes for basketball in general. Players play where they want to play. Loyalty isn't really a factor. Props to Durant and most likely Rose for sticking with the team that drafted them.

I think so. That's what waters down the NBA. As we all know there is hardly loyalty in that league, evident by King James' stunt last year.

I'm preparing for the depature of Love from the Wolves in the not-too-distant future.

Hopefully by then, (next year) the league implements some sort of franchise tag and hard cap like the NFL has. The NBA could have just as much parity as the NFL and NHL with all the talent coming in.

Stern is just a dreadful commish. For him to let such a scam like James' freak show was pretty bad. Then again, he had little control over that debacle.

Truth. That was all James wanting to play with his friends. Which is fine, but don't lead the Cavs on like you might stay and then bolt. When Kareem Abdul Jabaar left Miluwakee, he said, 'hey...I'm not staying here next season, so you might as well trade me'. And he kept it private. Miluwakee got hosed in the deal, and L.A went on to a dynasty, but at least he had some class about it and gave his team the opportunity to reload.

This is the NCAA basketball thread. Aha. I'll see you in the other thread Scott!

Give it up for VCU. Calipari is getting all the kudos today, but Shaka Smart? You bet!

Wow...The Butler Bulldogs...back to back Final Fours ...how many blue chippers did they recruit again??

Lovin' the Butler upset. If your bracket is still in order, good on ya mate, because that shit right there is psychic shit. Now if we can get VCU in there that would be classic.

Congrats to Butler. I guess Gordon Hayward wasn't the key to Butler's run last year. Mack and Howard proved to be clutch down the stretch. Its a shame too, Florida were the bigger, longer team and the down the stretch they went for the long three.

And UConn are looking like chumps early.

They will not have to play a team with a seed higher than 8 if they make it to the championship game. They got to be careful though, VCU looked like a solid team last night. Also, if they win that game, they need to beware of butler as Kansas did get knocked out by a #8 seed in (northern iowa) last year on the miraculous three. so they need to beat butler early as butler has proven if you keep the score close, the butler bulldogs will find a way to win in the end.

My goddamned bracket looks like a toothpick box. I have UNC and Kansas left in my Final Four.

My bracket got fucked quickly like it usually does. After the first wave of games, my bracket was still breating, but before the weekend was even over I was done with the tourney.
