Even though they lost I have a lot of respect for Butler. The one championship game ever where the losing team will get more attention than the winning team. God I love how everyone hates Dukes....it's awesome. Gordon Hayward is my new hero, awesome job man even though the last couple were a little short. He looks twelve and he could school us all!

It was a great game. I must admit, Duke surprised me here. I figured it would be the same old so close but so far away deal that they have done in the past. This was perhaps the best championship game I have seen in a VERY long time.
Did Butler basically invent the College Basketball's version of "The Leftwing Lock" (hockey nerds unite)?
Meaning? How the hell did Butler stay in this game anyway? Seriously? They have one guy who seems to take all the shots. They have got to find some offense.
Now, I give them credit for devising a system for neutralizing their size disadvantage when they play a Big Boy opponent. They play stout defense, they try to limit second chance opptys, and they make their free throws. Pretty simple gameplan.
I came away much more impressed with Butler than with Dook. I thought Butler should've won the game especially when Dook caved in crunch time. Butler just couldn't make enough shots!
Dook was supposedly the great 3-pt team and they hardly took any 3s in the second half. Butler played them strong on the perimeter.
I need more scoring though in my championship games. This was a great game but not an all-timer, imo...
