2009-2010 NCAA Basketball

As a Tar Heel fan and admirer of Roy Williams, I have to say that Tom Izzo is the best coach in college basketball at the moment.

He is a likeable guy as well.

I hope Michigan State find a way to win it all. Especially after losing to my Heels last year.

I'm surprised at the Duke-WVU line. That seems like a push to me. Not surprised with Butler beng favored over MSU. That Heyward kid looks about 13 years old, but he's good.

Yippee-ki-yay, motherfucker!
The coaching carousel continues with ESPN's Steve Lavin back in the picture as head coach of St. Johns, as well as Tim Floyd returning to the college ranks as the skipper in UTEP. The Floyd hiring is questionable as best, given his past recruiting controversy at USC, and Steve Lavin needs to establish a solid recruiting pipeline in the New York area if his team is gonna stand a chance in the Big East.

UTEP obviously only care about winning and not the integrity of the program. First Mike Price in football, and now Tim Floyd in basketball.

Go Dogs!

40,000 people showed up at Lucas Oil Stadium yesterday to watch Butler practice. I really hope the hometown crowd can help carry them to victory. I'm really conflicted too though. On the one hand, Sparty is a Big Ten team and they're carrying the banner for the conference. On the other hand, Butler is from my home state and is generally my second favorite team. I'll be rooting for the Bulldogs, but I won't be disappointed regardless of who the winner is.

I just have one thing to add to this little discussion.

Go Duke Blue Devils!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:nanner:

I will be rooting for everyone else but Duke to win the tournament. I would root for Nazi Germany before I would root for them. I wished for the entire team to perish in a horrific and fiery explosion during their trip to Indy. If I ever saw him on the street, I would beat Kyle Singler's goofy, vampire ass until he was motionless and losing large quantities of blood. Such is my dislike for the Blue Devils.

Needless to say, I'm a Mountaineer fan today...

Well there's no accounting for taste

But I have friend who feels the exact same way that do you regarding Duke. I saw in the USAtoday that Duke is college basketballs equivalent to the NFL's Dallas Cowboys. I would have to agree, with both teams you either love them or you hate them there is no middle ground.

I'm just hoping that Butler beats Michigan St. not because I'm a Butler fan cause I'm not. But I have a cousin who attended Michigan St and if they lose then I'll have all kinds of fun giving my cousin all kinds of hell. And if my teams lose she gives me all kinds of hell as well

So those 'White devils" from Butler are the real deal huh? I see a Butler-Duke final with Butler pulling out one for the ages. Christ, finally we got a Final Four without all the hyped up fucking teams for a change - and the perennial dud/sleeper/blowout of a game (so I hope).

As expected, it's a tight ball game between MSU and Butler so far.

Yes....excellent back-and-forth battle so far. Butler is fucking impressive for a Horizon League school.

Side note:

Quote of the day from Clark Kellogg (who is actually a very good color commentator):

"....that was a smart play from Summers. He put his body between himself and the defender"

:rolleyes::dunno::wtf:
