Y'WANNA STAHT?

I bet right now they're all drowning their sorrows in some BEEAH and killing time watching Boston movies like The DEPAHTED, painstakingly waiting for the return of the SAWX. :D

The truck left the Fens yestahdah for Sprin Trainin in Floreedah. If that dunkin donut Shillin' didn't fuck up his sholdah...the Sawx mighta made the yankees oah beeches again!

The Pats..The C's...the Sawx...it's not bad to be a Bawstin Badass....

I think this will go down as the worst, most mediocre NFL draft in recent history. There isn't a single player that has DIFFERENCE-MAKER and CAN'T MISS FRANCHISE PLAYER....I bet the better players this year will be in Rounds 3-5.

Dude, you seem to make one dumb comment after another:rolleyes:.If Darren McFadden isn't an instant difference maker along with Glenn Dorsey, then I don't know who is.I will give you that it's gonna be a rather lack-luster draft, but there are some potential studs out there. One thing I will say is that the QBs coming out really leave much to be desired.

I'm not totally sold on Matt Ryan, and as a Dolphins fan I really hope they don't draft him.I think that Colt Brennan will be good only if his goes to a team that will utilize his passing skills, which more than likely won't happen.

Hahaha...we could do a whole thread making fun of the Boston accent! Frickin' queeahs!

I'm gonna go with the Packers on this one. I'm not sure if I would consider them "sleepers," given that, if not for one game lost to the eventual Super Bowl champions, they would have played in the big game and possibly been champions. I haven't read any news on whether or not Brett Favre intends to come back next year, but, based on the year he had this year, I think he can lead the Packers to a championship.

Well, speedy and small RBs don't usually have long NFL careers..unless they happen to be Ladainian Tomlinson types...I've yet to hear anyone throw that comparison on McFadden. Where, btw, did I say McFadden sucked? He was the best player in College this past season. Too bad Arky had a meltdown at the end...but this is the NFL, son, College stars do not NFL stars all the time make...that's kind of why the draft is usually a crapshoot:dunno:

The Fish are already giving up on John Beck? Wow...tough crowd. None of the QBs you mentioned are worth a 1st Rd pick. Colt Brennan? Seriously? Seriously flawed, more like it. If Parcells follows suit..he will look to shore up the D first. There are many places on the Fish D that need help. I can name many, many, high profile College DLineman that never lived up to their billing. Look at every Ohio State DLine from the mid-late 90s, for example...

Changing topics...anyone read about Reggie Bush's legal problems today? I guess he went to court today with a body guard who thought it wise to flash a piece at the person, Lloyd Lake, who's bring charges against Bush:rolleyes:

Yikes..."Gangsta" is not a wise defense strategy Reggie....:dunno:

sigh... the season is over. ::shrugs::

There's not much more to tell than that. Water's wet, the sky is blue and ol' Satan Clause ..he's out there and he's just getting stronger.

mcfadden is 6'2''. how is that small? would you say steven jackson is small? titsrock, you really need to do some research before you post. :hatsoff:

oh and by the way, something like 90% of ALL running backs dont have lengthy careers.

Interesting that you use a Pac10 Runningback as your example? Why not use recent SEC HIGH draft picks like Ronnie Brown or the Cadillac? Those two look like they did not warrant being drafted so high, higher then Jackson, at this point. McFadden is going to benefit from this being a rather pedestrian draft.

i think it is very hard to judge the values of ronnie brown ,cadillac or steven jackson.they have suffered injuries and brown was all world or at least "all dolphins" before his injury and jacson has put together a great year and a half , time will tell but i think jackson as well as the other two may still put together impressived careers.injuries are the big danger for rbs and mcfadden at 6'2" is gonna take some hits ,hopefully he avoids injury.

i used jackson not because he is pac10, but rather he is the same hieght and roughly the same wight as mcfadden.

well folks rb's have the shortest average carrer 4 years. Mcfadden runs to upright ala earl campbell or laurance maroney. he will be a good back who on a team like like Dallas where he wouldn't be asked to save the team he will learn to run lower ala lt. Bill Parcelles said that running back is a disposiable postion don't sign guys to long deals and have replacements ready.(not an exact quote mind you) Colt B. looks like a system qb he will need 2-3 yrs before he is ready. Matt Ryan just needs time to learn the game and he will be ready i think 1yr.i think with todays emphasis on speed and passing i would load my defense with quick ends and lbs and draft corners who can cover man to man. when the titans make pacman avaible i bet at least 3-5 teams will bid for him.

I think the panthers are a sleeper team, when they went to the superbowl with the patriots they coudl've won.. its just that they didnt even try, they looked lazy that day

Parcelles is almost completely right about that. Unless a team is lucky enough to have one of the best handful of running backs in the league, and there is hardly ever more than 2 or three that are worth it at a time, running backs are an extremely fungible position. They should never pay a lot for them because mediocre backs are easily replaceable.

WTF?!

I'm a Bears fan, but Carolina has been my second fav since they came into the league (I was a big Kevin Greene fan), but I have a hard time seeing this one. Both Offensive Tackles are free agents. They will most likely keep Gross, and it looks unlikely they will hang on to Wharton. The recievers need upgrading as Jarrett was disappointing and Kolbert and Carter I thnk are free agents. The QB's are hurting, aging, or just plain suck, and the D-Line is not looking good either. Peppers underachieved, but i can see him having a better year. Jenkins is always hurt, and I think I read somewhere that he wants to be traded, and Rucker is getting slower and less productive.

I would like to see them win the NFC South, but they have MANY needs that must be addressed for them to be contenders. The "Cardiac Cats" were a blast to watch, but the ball can only bounce your way so many times. . . just ask the Patriots!:D

I think that next year's sleeper team could be the Houston Texans; I have been following them since their first year and think that maybe, just maybe that they will squeak into play-offs, or at least hurt some teams' chances in the last half of the season.

agreed. they looked pretty good at the end of the season, and i see them continuing to progress.

pancha you are right about the panthers they have way to many issues.i see the trend of usc recivers underachiving continues. The Texans still need more defensive help to compete plus they are in one tough divison the colts and jaguars are good for 10+ wins eacj and the titans are so tough with that defense and good running game if they ever get vy some weapons and a coach to teach him the game look out
