The Denver Broncos defeated the Atlanta Falcons 14 - 10 in the Hall of Fame Game. And .. the preseason continues to be a joke, as NEITHER team's starting QB threw a pass..

22 days until the return of NFL Football so today we honor Emmitt Smith, running back for the Dallas Cowboys and Arizona Cardinals. A four-time All-Pro, Emmitt Smith was a vital piece of the Dallas Cowboys' dynasty of the early 1990s that won three Super Bowls. He was voted NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year (1990), NFL Most Valuable Player (1993) and was elected to the 1990s All-Decade Team. He is the NFL's all-time leader in rushing yards (18,355), rushing touchdowns (164) and rushing attempts (4,409). He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2006.

Days?

I can't wait for "19" in '19 ... So here it is ...

12 days until the return of NFL Football so today we honor Jim Kelly, quarterback for the Buffalo Bills. Kelly was the quarterback during Buffalo's remarkable run of four straight Super Bowl appearances in the early 1990s. He appeared in five Pro Bowls and Buffalo retired his number, 12, in 2018. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2002, his first year of eligibility.

Andrew Luck is reportedly retiring from the the NFL.

Sorry to see him go. Carolina had the the first pick in 2010 and if Luck had come out of college a year earlier he would have worn the blue and black instead of Cam Newton. I'm happy Carolina has Cam but I've always respected Luck and he has been a tremendous player. I wish Mr. Luck all the best.

Carolina had the first pick in the 2011 Draft following the 2010 season. I regret if my sentence was misleading.

You can say that the 2012 NFL draft is now a disaster. Mostly injuries took the first four out.

1. Indianapolis Colts - Andrew Luck Stanford (DNP (did not play) in 2017; now retired)
2. Washington Redskins - Robert Griffin III Baylor (DNP in 2015 and 2017; is now playing for his third team, Wash-Cleve-Balt)
3. Cleveland Browns - Trent Richardson Alabama (played on four NFL teams, Cleve-Indy-Oak-Balt (DNP for both Oak and Balt) - out of the NFL to Canada now to the Alliance for American Football (AAF)
4. Minnesota Vikings - Matt Kalil USC (is now playing for his third team, Minn-Carol-Hous)

Now if only the Dallas Cowboys can duplicate some semblance of that 34-0 beatdown of the Houston Texans ... in EVERY game this season including the Superbowl, I'll be happy. :yesyes:

As much as I want the Cowboys to win, frankly I hope they don't give in to Elliot's holdout. Franchise his ass or just up and tell him to go to hell and honor his contract. For Pete's Sake, he's got 2 years left on his contract. The Cowboys don't owe him squat at this point.

I hope Tony Pollard keeps on playing sooooo well in Elliot's place into the season that Elliot has to put his tail between his legs and come back on his own because he's afraid he'll lose his job.

Houston has traded Jadeveon Clowney to the Seahawks.

The Dophins are in full tank mode trading Laremy Tunsil and Kenny Stills to the Texans. Dolphins get two first round picks. Josh Rosen can't catch a break.

One day until the return of NFL football so today we honor Warren Moon, quarterback for the Houston Oilers, Minnesota Vikings, Seattle Seahawks and Kansas City Chiefs. Moon played in nine Pro Bowls and was named Pro Bowl MVP for the game played in 1998. In 1990, he was named NEA NFL Most Valuable Player for the year that saw him lead the league and passing yards and touchdowns. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2006.

So who (if anyone) might develop as a sleeper team?
I've been trying to make a case for the Vikings but their schedule looks a bit rough.

If the Rams regress maybe the the Niners or Seahawks?

It has been 214 days since a meaningful NFL Football game was played. Today, the long, national nightmare known as the "Offseason" comes to an end. NFL Football is back.

Somebody should have reminded the Bears.

Opening night. At home. And they put in that "performance"?

Holy shit

If reports are factual, it's no surprise Antonio Brown is also a racist. It's also very disturbing why there hasn't been any news of sponsors dropping this deplorable, pathetic person for his racist comments toward Mike Mayock.

This also shows Jon Gruden may talk tough and act tough but he's a weak-minded fool.

So many good reasons to root against the Raiders this now!
