What planet do you live on? It was pretty much the other way around where everybody though Manning was the better quarterback except for the people in New England, especially anybody with an ounce of analytical thinking that was more than a casual fan. Out of all the stats comparing the two Superbowl wins is close to being the absolutely least important,...unless your one of those people that think Trent Dilfer and Brad Johnson were better than Dan Mario because they beat him in Superbowl wins the team got. In fact it was usually even the dumb talking heads on television that would mention something like Manning was pretty much better in every phase of the game and then they would add in a "but", then mention something about Superbowl wins.

If I was around...I would've set this community straight. Are you sure you have your knowledge straight, DRock? Who, on earth, would mention Dan Marino in the same sentence as Dilfer and Johnson? Lots of shitty players win Super Bowls (they usually end up playing for the Oakland Raiders the year after they win their Super Bowl, btw). Lots of HOF'ers don't win one. I only need my perfect eyes and brilliant mind to spot the "Jimmies" from the "Joes"...

Umm, you just did.

Yeah there was some idiot here before who didn't like black QBs and would argue until he was red in the face that Brad Johnson and Trent Dilfer were better, because of their rings, than Donovan McNabb, Michael Vick, Vince Young... and I believe he also dissed Warren Moon too. Those 3 are all having a bad year, though.

Baltimore went to the Super Bowl based on Defense...not offense. Dilfer just handed off the ball all season. Brad Johnson won a Super Bowl? That's news to me. Maybe he won it as a backup.

I can see the debate of "Running QB" versus "Pro-style Passer" as a legit debate. What kind of QB style is best suited for the Pro Game. It is a debate, I suppose.

Warren Moon was not a running QB. He threw for like 80,000 yards if you factor in his Canadian League stats with his NFL stats. Donovan is the same..he's a Passing QB who just happens to be a good runner when needed. Vince and and Mike Vick are true running QBs. The jury's out (pun) on whether those 2 will amount to anything..less likely against Vick, I suppose!

I wouldn't steal a base cause I'd never be caught dead playing such a sleep inducing sport hehe no offence folks. I went to see the Red Sox play just to experience it and thought, what a lovely stadium and a nice crowd wasted on..... yawn.

Hey now, you watch it. :1orglaugh

ahem. micheal vick has taken his team one game away from the superbowl. And you should know that he put that sorry team on his back. Look at them now. It was unbelievable how sorry that team was without Vick. I don't know what else you need to see from him before you credit him with being a good quarterback. If he had a #1 reciever other than Micheal Jenkins and a tightend, then he'd have the numbers (which don't mean shit) that you want to see.

And the jury is out on all the quarterbacks from the last 2 drafts. Who doesn't go through ups and downs in their first 2-3 years. Even Roethlisberger had his ups and downs.

Brad Johnson won it in the same fashion that Trent Dilfer won it in,little offense and alot of defense with Tampa Bay

Trent Dilfer is a great quarterback!

And you can tell by the fact that he plays for the 49ers. :1orglaugh

We don't need to argue over Michael Vick at this point because his career before DoggieDestruction was on the ropes and now that he's in the slam...his quarterbacking days are over. His career is probably over. He might try to come back as a 3rd Down specialist..if he still has his speed in 3 years.

SO..let's not "go there" with Vick.

Instead..let us discuss Vince Young and whether or not he will ever amount to much. I tend to agree with Merrill Hoge of ESPN on most pro football matters and I think Vince Young might never reach the level of elite NFL QB.

I am intrigued that the Titans signed Big Mike Williams...he and Norm Chow worked wonders at USC...maybe BMW will salvage his career??

If the Falcons had Vick this year they would be roughly around where they are now. I think loosing him was a blessing in disguise.

Agree with this. I thought Harrington was playing pretty good for them. They are an awful team anyway with or without Vick. Will Bobby Petrino stick it out or will he fly back to College where there are going to be some attractive coaching jobs opening up...

Vince Young is just as much a question mark as any other starting or #2 quarterback from the last 2 drafts. You can't say he'll never be shit. You can't say he'll make hall of fame. It's a wait and see, thing. Plus you tell me one fucking recieving option he has. That's the worst WR core in the nfl. jUst LIke Mike Vick's recieving options was. You still need to admit that Vick was a good QB and a better overall football player. He had to take that team on his shoulders every year and he always made them NFC contenders.

no they wouldn't, they'd be at least .500

I think Vick was amazing. He had bad coaches, a bad organization around him, but he was great. Bellichick would have put rings on three of his fingers you know. Maybe he'll still play in a Superbowl.

Vince Young has already shown amazing qualities. He is a little limited as of now but big Mike Williams is one of my favourite receivers. So we'll see.
I hope Norm Chow and Vince Young can help bring back the Mike Williams from USC
