Carolina is now 1-8. They do not have a first round pick next year.
If I owned this team: GM Scott Fitterer and Head Coach Frank Reich are fired today. Promote DC Ejiro Evero to interim HC. Empanel a search committee to find the next GM in the upcoming offseason. Next GM makes decision on next coach. Even if Bryce Young is a good quarterback in a hopeless situation (see: Trevor Lawrence, 2021) this team is still three years away from doing anything.

Frank Reich has been fired. He can't hurt us anymore. I didn't think they could get somebody worse than Matt Rhule but they proved me wrong. GM Scott Fitterer still needs to be fired also. Don't know how much confidence I will be able to muster that the next guy they hire will be any good. I think things may be bad for a long time in Carolina.

Tepper, of course, has a history of intervention. He has no history of NFL success. That is not going to change any time soon with the Panthers’ fiasco of a season producing a likely No. 1 overall pick that is headed elsewhere. The reason the No. 1 is shipping to Chicago via Charlotte? That Reich was fired? This is a tire-fire roster with no offensive line or skill corps weapons. Now it doesn’t have a coach. That means there is no realistic chance to develop Young.

I don't think "wokeness" has anything to do with it, either. From what I've read, the Team Owner is a butt-insky. Supposedly, he is the one who wanted the overall #1 pick to be Bryce Young. The GM and Head Coach wanted CJ Stroud.
The GM "giving up the ****" to move up to grab Bryce Young ALSO set the franchise back for the next couple of years. AND, trading away RB C. McCaffrey.
