Well,Jack Del Rio and the Jags tried to give that game away in the forth quarter, but I'm glad they won because chances are they will play the Pats next week, and they will probably give them fits with their running game.
agree, but for some unknown fucking reason they are intent and sticking with grossman. apparently they want him back if the price isn't too high, and considering he has been so inconsistent, they will probably resign him as the most likely starter for next year:crying:If the defense can manage to hold itself together for another year the offense is so bad it has nowhere to go but up. So in that respect I have hope for next year. In fact if they can get some mad scientist to combine Grossman's, Griese's, and Orton's best qualities into one person they might have a below average quarterback instead of a terrible one for once.
They still have to start thinking about getting younger on the offensive line.
I thought the Steelers also did there best to blow that game (which they did) when they had the lead on their final possession. They didn't do anything but go conservative and run it up the middle twice and then try a Big Ben roll out what didn't get them anything. It was like they were channeling Martyball in its worse moments. He's also not the kind of quarterback to be doing a designed run at that time in that game. Thus instead of getting a first down and probably putting the game away they give it back to Jacksonville with plenty of time to go down the field to get a field goal.
I thought the Steelers had the right plan at the end. Leading, however slim, and forcing the Jags to use their timeouts. Garrard looked pathetic throwing the ball. a running team without the ability to stop the clock and a QB who was struggling, Pitt made the right move. It was Garrard's scrambling that saved their asses!
Honestly, I think the playoffs this year are gonna be great. Favre has NEVER won in Dallas, and thats where the NFC goes through. Should be fun game if it boils down that way.
And c'mon, if a defending champs Indy vs undefeated Pats AFC title game in New England isn't even just a bit appealing to you, turn in your man card now.
These playoff games have all been fairly boring, but considering their competitive legitimacy, they still beat the hell out of those worthless BCS games.
Yeah, I was bored. Is this supposed to be your 'I told you so moment'?
Hey NEWS FLASH, this was the wild card round there zell. The potential games I've been looking forward to aren't for a couple of weeks. But you already pointed that out, now didn't you.
I'm assuming you will be rooting against the Patriots and 'America's team'? I have no choice but to root for the Cowboys if they face the fudge packers. But that's ok, there should be lots of camera shots of Jessica Simpson every time the Cowboys play, and the best part, plenty of Romo/Jessica jokes to throw around.
