From my Big 12(Oklahoma) perspective, I have a hard time seeing Texas isolate themselves from A&M, Oklahoma, Tech, Baylor etc. The biggest rivalry in college football(Texas vs Oklahoma) parting ways? I don't know.

If this format did happen, I wouldn't be too mad. New rivalries could always form. I always thought USC had a easy ride to the Rose Bowl, and maybe my Sooners could get back revenge from the 2004 National title:mad:.

The Texas-Oklahoma game could still be played as an out-of-conference game. In fact, under this format it could be stipulated that any out-of-conference games would have to include a member of another super-conference. This would get rid of the ridiculous Texas-Louisiana/Monroe and Ohio State-Bowling Green type games that are simply a way for the big bad-ass schools to pad their win record and provide a big payday for smaller schools in return for getting their asses handed to them.

Gotcha:thumbsup:! That makes perfect sense!

Boy, that SEC West looks really tough though. Texas has a hard enough time winning the Big 12 South.

Yes, the SEC West would be murder. You could possibly flip-flop either Kentucky or Vanderbilt from the East with Tennessee to even things out a bit. Besides, polls would no longer count so as long as you win your division, you play in the tournament. So, let's say Texas (why not?) wins the SEC West with a record of 9-3 and the winner of the East goes 12-0. It doesn't matter. They play for the SEC championship and the right to play in the national tournament anyway. If that were to happen under the present format, if the 9-3 division winner were to somehow upset the undefeated champion from the East, all they would ever be able to be is the SEC champs because they damn sure wouldn't be playing for the national championship.

It's that way in all major pro sports and that's the way it ought to be in Division 1 NCAA football IMO.

Slow day at work this afternoon so I invite you guys to tear this setup apart.

I realize I am leaving out some pretty good programs like Fresno State, Montana State, Tulane, UAB, Idaho, Colorado State, Nevada, SDSU, Air Force, Navy....on and on. There simply isn't enough room for every school.

So....whattaya think? :dunno:

I like your set-up I hate to see the ACC go but I think it was the weaker of the conferences the way you set up the Big 12 was great pulling out of Conference USA & Mountain West.Personally I think it would be TCU conference to win.Anyway it looks good.

I think there does have to be major realignment in College football because of travel issues if not to make the BCS stronger.

More fans will be able to travel to more away games if these conferences are realigned more along geographical sensibilities.

The U just upped Randy Shannon for 4 years.

Make sense or maybe premature?

They needed to lock him up on a long-term deal. He's a terrific recruiter and he has cleaned up the mess that Coker left. He has brought Miami back to respectability and he is an excellent football coach. I want him as the coach.

If Miami didn't want him, I bet there are plenty of other schools that would. Great move by the U.

The U started off great in 2009...but faded at the end. I was sort of thinking for Miami ACC Championship and BCS game this coming season or :wave2: Now, I guess not :o

Miami's schedule is tough early--at the Shoe against The Baills and at Pitt, but the ACC schedule is very Cane-friendly this season...

Their early schedule isn't near as tough as it was last year and they did OK. Where they got off track was that lousy, rain-soaked field up in Blacksburg and then stumbling against the likes of Clemson, etc. They were a very young team last year so this year I'm saying we take the ACC by going 10-2 (losses to OSU and Georgia Tech on the road) and then taking the ACC title game against whoever. After the Pitt game, our road schedule is very easy except for GT.

We'll get revenge on Va Tech for last year when we get 'em down in our house.

9-4 was not bad at all and I see them getting better if they can win early and get the wheels rolling I see a 10 maybe 11 win season. Now remember my Noles' down but not out.

I'm giving the 'Noles a pass this year. They too come to Miami this season. I think there are too many changes for FSU to put the weight of the BCS on their shoulders this year.

 All Hail Mighty U.S.C.
ESPN is running some sort of "fill up the time and space" bracket in order to determine which school is the true NFL Pipeline.

Guess who's the #1 seed. (Psst. It ain't Bama). :thefinger

USC's first matchup is against Clemson

guess whos got 13 national titles pssst its bama...this year may be 14..you score 35 points or you dont beat bama this year..and i dont see that.

At time it was hard for Alabama to score 24 points Bama has a great defense and a strong running game to say something like that is a little:rolleyes:Anyway unless you know something we don't I'm all :bigear:

UM and OSU wouldn't likely be in the same division of a B10 super conference IMO. It would just make too much sense to situate them into playing each other in the champ. game.
