...and to make matters more crazy, undefeated and ranked number 12 Hawaii Warriors is losing 21-0 to Washington Huskies in the FIRST QUARTER. Hawaii could lose a BCS bowl berth!

We're on our way to another Split National Championship...I think there needs to be the PLUS 1 game in case, like this year, it's needed...

Nobody can make an absolute case for USC,LSU, Georgia, Kansas, Virginia Tech in the #2 spot.

Kansas and UGa should be out, they didn't win their conference, there fore should be static, at least in a perfect world. In plain words the BCS doesn't work.

From an objective standpoint, your right. It has been pretty exciting. Heck, I didn't think Missouri would do this well. But.......... they got sooooooooooooooo close .......*sigh*............

As far as not having a team to root for, Missouri's as close as I have to a team in college football so 99.9% of the time I don't really have a team either :). I usually end up rooting against a team in the championship. This year it's going to be whoever plays against A ohio state.

Here's how I think the Bowls will go...

Allstate BCS Championship Game
(BCS No. 1 vs. BCS No. 2)
Ohio State 11-1 (Big 10 champ) vs LSU 11-2 (SEC champ)

Allstate Sugar
(BCS vs. BCS)
Georgia 10-2 (SEC, at-large) vs Hawaii 12-0 (WAC, at-large)

FedEx Orange
(BCS vs. BCS)
Virginia Tech 11-2 (ACC champ) vs. West Virginia 10-2 (Big East champ)

Tostitos Fiesta
(BCS vs. BCS)
Oklahoma 11-2 (Big 12 champ) vs. Arizona State 10-2 (Pac-10, at-large)

Rose Bowl presented by Citi
(BCS vs. BCS)
USC 10-2 (Pac-10 champ) vs Missouri 11-2 (Big 12, at large)

Lots of compelling match-ups that make up for the somewhat lackluster title game... Let Me know what you all think!

Ditto.

this system is bullshit
please don't ask me why, you know why

I think the MAJORITY of Non-BCS Bowl games are bullshit this year. The most compelling nonBCS, to me, looks like Florida State vs Kentucky. That could be sweet. Indiana versus Okie State? Yuck. That has Okie State blowout written all over it. I don't really want to see another Michigan/Florida game...it feels like they've played each other 2 or 3 times the past 5 years...

I think Satyr's matchups are superior to this year's BCS...If I was the president of Kansas University...I'd sue the BCS. They got frakked bigtime!

Well, its all settled ...

BCS Championship Game
Ohio State 11-1 vs. LSU 11-2 Jan. 7
Hot title game... three weeks ago.

Orange Bowl
Virginia Tech 11-2 vs. Kansas 11-1 Jan. 3
Could be a classic match-up; did Missouri's poor play cost them this game?

Fiesta Bowl
Oklahoma 11-2 vs. West Virginia 10-2 Jan. 2
This game is for 3rd place, really.

Sugar Bowl
Hawaii 12-0 vs. Georgia 10-2 Jan. 1
Okay, this is a great match-up and kudos to the committee for bringing these two teams together.

Rose Bowl
Southern California 10-2 vs. Illinois 9-3 Jan. 1
Sometimes tradition sucks; The Rose could have went for the best match-up available with a hot at-large team...but settled with Illinois.

NON-BCS
Cotton Bowl
Missouri 11-2 vs. Arkansas 8-4 Jan. 1
The Tigers settle for Dallas, but need to watch out for McFadden. However, with the Razorback coach leaving, how will the team play?

Gator Bowl

Texas Tech 8-4 vs. Virginia 9-3 Jan. 1
Yawn.

Capital One Bowl
Michigan 8-4 vs. Florida 9-3 Jan. 1
Look for Tebow and the Gators to drop 35+ points on the Wolverines in Carr's last game as coach.

Outback Bowl
Wisconsin 9-3 vs. Tennessee 9-4 Jan. 1
Not that bad of a game really...

Fucked over?
Arizona State, 10-2, plays in the Holiday Bowl, December 29 against Texas, 9-3.

I think Illinois in a BCS game, while a fine team, is not the best choice, especially with other higher ranked at-large teams available. And I am SHOCKED that the Fiesta Bowl passed over Arizona State, but they actually got a better game. The Rose Bowl selection committee needs to look at the Fiesta Bowl and the Sugar Bowl to see how to match up teams on something besides tradition.

At least this year not many people can complain where they ended up. Almost everybody had a Chance at one time or another and they let it slip away.

Haters! Haters everywhere tonight!

Can we get some love after all our suffering?

I did give Illinois love, in post 379. Coach Zook and the Illini offense will be fun to watch. I always watch The Rose Bowl (I'm from southern California, its a tradition!). But I feel that in this season, the Bowl should have bucked tradition and went with an at-large team that could have provided a compelling match-up against USC, like Hawaii.

Of course, the way this year is going, Illinois kicks USC's ass. I'm watching the game, and it will be good....but it could have been better.

upside? USC Song Girls in the sun!

Oh, I was just messing around man. Haters is just my theme for the evening.

I can see why some would feel cheated by Illinois moving into OSU's deserved Rose Bowl spot. Especially Mizzou.

Just like Ohio State benefited from the Big Ten not playing a conference championship, (and all the teams ahead of them losing in their conference championships), so does Illinois.

It's not fair. But let's not forget that the BCS is a joke to begin with. Hey, Illinois did knock off two top 5 teams this year. :2 cents:
