The secret ingredient? MY BALLS
The BCS is a joke and this season just proves it. How many UNRANKED teams are beating the ranked ones? It's fucking ridiculous.

Michigan was RANKED before they lost to Ohio State and they had 3 loses. Strength of schedule? Pleeeeeease, they lost to Appalachian State for God's sake.

I think that 2 loses should automatically prevent you from being a top 10 team. 3 loses should prevent you from being ranked in the top 25 at all...period. No matter who you play, no matter what your wish-washy strength of schedule is...that's how it should be.

BCS has always been joke, but at least Michigan has no shot at the national title this way.

Gotta look on the bright side, you know. :)

USC is going to clown the shit out of Arizona State and get "the experts" wondering if my Trojans aren't really "the best in the land.."

USC versus Ohio State in another old school Rose Bowl...that sounds awesome to me.

I am interested in Kansas/Mizzou....I think the Jayhawks are overrated but they do keep winning....if they beat Mizzou...well...

There shouldn't be a poll until after 4 weeks into the season. The next poll should be after the 8th week. The final regular season poll..after the 12th week. The final final poll AND HEISMAN shouldn't be awarded until after the season is complete.

There should be a BOWL SELECTION COMMITTEE to match up teams in the Non-BCS bowls so that we, as fans, have the best chance to get attractive and interesting bowl games for every game. This idea that Bowl games have conference tie-ins is as tired and out-of-date as the single-wing offense.

I am against conferences having guaranteed number of teams in Bowl games. This is ASSININE and against the spirit of sport.

With a proper Bowl Selection Committee it can give football fans the same amount of interest as with the Hoops Selection Committee...(will the Big East get a 6th team in...will the ACC have 8 teams..etc. etc.)

They waste the whole month of December and half of January (with the big bowl games), when they could be having playoffs. Yeah, Div I college football is pretty gay.

In order for Division 1 to have a playoff...the season would need to be trimmed down to 8 games. That would pretty much suck because, as a USC fan, I like seeing all the conference teams every year. I'd hate to have to see some schools once every 3 years or so.

There doesn't really need to be a playoff system in college football. There CAN be a Plus 1 added after the BCS games...

Mark me down as minus 1 in favor of that scenario. The BCS is NOT recognized as a national champion by the NCAA. In fact, the NCAA doesn't recognize a national champion for Div IA at all.

All the other divisions of college football have a playoff? It's just stupid money grubbing tradition at this point. When they take off all of december and half of January, they got plenty of time to have even a 32 team playoff -imo.

College football does need a playoff system even if they have to add in another game or two or have a 16-team playoff of the best teams. Even an 8-team playoff would be better than what they have now. It's a lot better to potentially have the 17th ranked team not be able to make it than have a situation were the third or fourth ranked team might miss out or an unbeaten smaller school gets screwed. Plus it would end a lot of bitching about the system because if you lost it was your own fault. The biggest reason they don't do it now is only because of money where each college and conference wants it's share and were the bowl people want to cash in also. It's not because it would be that hard to do or they have the integrity of the sport in their interest.

They way they have it now would be if the NFL didn't go to the playoffs and instead they had a vote on how would win that year with a bunch of computers helping out. It sounds pretty lame.

There is plenty of time for a playoff in 1-A....even with 12 game schedules. The way it is now, you have to look at the playoffs actually being in effect now. For instance, Missouri and Kansas play this weekend and the winner goes on to face (most likely) Oklahoma in the Big 12 championship game. The winner of that game will probably be playing for the national championship so, in effect, a single-elimination playoff format is already in place in the Big 12 this year.

The BCS sucks.

Did anyone hear Nick Saban make a total ass of himself and compare Alabama's lost to Louisiana-Monroe just as catastrophic as Pearl Harbor/WW II and 9/11?

What a complete moron? Is this guy out of touch with society or what??

No, he's just playing to his base of ignorant rednecks. You would have to get in the mindset of an Alabama fan, because to them it is worse.

Some articles previewing the HUGE Missouri vs. Kansas game this Saturday.

Missouri's Maclin making huge plays

I don't think I've anticipated a college football game this much before. Missouri actually has a shot at the national championship.

In football.

Go MIZZOU !!!!!!!!!!!!

Darren McFadden has just won the Heisman today....I thought Dennis Dixon had it in the bag before his injury.

Darren McFadden is a freaky good baller. He is tearing up L.S.U. as I type this..he just threw a freaking TD pass on them...

The Axes are falling all over College Football....
IamForever may be coming out of his drunken stupor now that Bill Callahan has been fired from Nebraska.

Dennis Franchione was kind enough to squash the A&M Celebration over kicking Texas's ass yesterday by stealing all the thunder with his "resignation."

Ed Orgeron was given the heaveho from Ol' Miss.

If Notre Dame loses today..I think Charlie Weis and the ND AD will be fired.

Michigan's job is open. They seem to be waiting patiently for Les Miles and he clearly has his mind on Ann Arbor. LSU might be open in 2 weeks.

Houston Nutt may resign to take over A&M. Or Tommy Tuberville may leave Auburn for A&M.

All eyes are on Tennessee to see if Fatty Fulmer gets the ax. He needs to win today and possibly beat LSU to keep his job.

There are clouds of disgust forming in Berkeley over Jeff Tedford...he may not make it to coach the Bears in another Las Vegas Bowl...

Karl Dorrell's ass is on the line..if he can beat Oregon today..maybe he saves his neck. The Bruins are going to get humiliated against the Trojans next week. So this week might be win or else for the Bruins...

There could be 15 GREAT College jobs open in the next couple weeks....
