Well, I grew up in Cleveland, so I was constantly surrounded by douche bags who wore Ohio State gear to bars and did that stupid O-H-I-O shit every 5 minutes when a game was on. Almost none of which went to the school or even had family or friends that went to the school. It just annoys the shit out of me when people do that...so I'm partial to holding a grudge.
You grew up in Cleveland and you posted this? Your birth records might need to be reexamined.

The Ohio State University spends approx. $106 mil on athletics per year. They have the largest athletic budget in the nation and field the most teams of any University. Ohio State's identity is sport-based, not academic based. I don't think alums of universities care that the football stadium is filled with casual fans rather then hardcore students or alums. I think the problem is when the University gets greedy and pushes the students aside to chase corporations and rich alums. Not that this happens at OSU, but it happens at other schools.

I'm sure that Ohio State is Ohio's top employer...more then P&G (assuming that P&G's factories are located outside of Ohio nowadays...)

But tr, you don't understand, all those players were recruited by Scourge of Humanity, Ty Willingham. It's not Charlie's fault at all!:rofl:

I think Charlie Weis can't recruit worth a shit. Ty Willingham got a job promotion, in my opinion. Washington will be #2 in the Pac next season. They are going to replace Cal as the top dawg for USC's crown.

Notre Dame is still smarting over the "Kim Dunbar" scandal and they refuse to recruit elite athletes. It's honorable that ND wants to recruit elite scholar-athletes, but the pool for such players is small. Urban Meyer knew he couldn't recruit at Notre Dame...

Notre Dame might want to chase Jon Gruden. I don't think there's a top college coach out there for them.

No one said I was born in Cleveland. I was actually born in Maryland and my family moved to Cleveland when I was 4.

I think SatyrICon's poll is correct. I don't think we're in for any upsets this weekend...even though I'd like to see Ohio State go down...not likely going to happen.

There's only two unbeaten teams left Kansas and Hawaii.

Down goes #2 Oregon ! :1orglaugh

Good news for Oklahoma, certainly. I think Mizzou or Kansas could of leaped into the #2 spot ahead of Oregon if 2 of the 3 had won out. But I don't think the Sooners could have made it to #2 without Oregon or LSU losing.

Assuming LSU wins out and Mizzou and Kansas win their next games, it looks like the winner of Mizzou vs. Kansas on Nov.24 will face Oklahoma in the Big 12 championship and the winner of that game will play LSU for the BCS title.

Go MIZZOU !!!!!!!!!!!!
