I remember very similar arguments being made by the few Willingham defenders when he was at Notre Dame, and the people that wanted Weiss basically blew off their reasoning.

It is kinda lame. Illinois is good once a decade, and they blackout half the games in this one good year.
And the BTN will probably do the same thing for basketball. Not like they'll be any good, but still, it used to like free tv.
Oh man, they better not do it to basketball. I will seriously go postal on somebody. I know the Illini are still in their rebuilding mode, but to deny us their games, is sacrelig.

I think it's funny how Comcast airs all the anti-BTN commercials. I also think the regular Comcast commercials are hilarious as well. My favorite one is the one where the guy is giving mouth to mouth to a buck on a beach and it just says "Save Big Bucks" at the end...aaaaaah, you gotta love it.

I would say 99% of college fans have no affliation with any school, even that is very bad math.... :dunno: If colleges relied on student fan base purely the NCAA would be broke by now.. I remember quite well the USC bandwagon of the past few years... I dont hold a grudge to them.

Well, I grew up in Cleveland, so I was constantly surrounded by douche bags who wore Ohio State gear to bars and did that stupid O-H-I-O shit every 5 minutes when a game was on. Almost none of which went to the school or even had family or friends that went to the school. It just annoys the shit out of me when people do that...so I'm partial to holding a grudge.
