Certain conferences games are tougher.....I will agree! But ya know darn well it is Oklahoma (w/ it's unruly sister COLORADO) and the other 10 dwarfs! I really had to! I did not want to say LIL 12!

Nothing against the Big10, but I really can't say Illinois beating any of those conference foes is an upset this season. C'mon the so-called top two (this year) WISKY and Mich...well they have lost. TOSU is playing good ball again. Purdue beat ND, yet gets clocked in conf. And I have no idea what PSU is doing. So can we let that winner just go ROSE BOWL and forget about them?

Yeah, it's true, Wisconsin is over rated for sure. But it doesn't take away the awesome victory Illinois had over them. It was great to see them run the ball and control the clock on offense, and to see some great tackling on defense. It would be nice if they can throw the long ball, but running the option is such a great weapon.

Was I the only one that watched the 6-0 and sixteenth ranked Hawaii lead 14-0 on San Jose State, be down to them 14-28, tie it 35-35 and then win in overtime? Ugly victory, but it could move them up higher in the ranking for gutting it out on the road.

I caught most of the second half. It didn't look like Hawai'i would win but San Jose couldn't seal the deal. Shows how tough the Warriors are mentally.

I'm checking the laws in Lincoln, Nebraska but I'm pretty sure Oklahoma State Cowboys 38 - Cornhuskers 7 at the HALF is considered rape... Fans were walking out of the Nebraska home game too!

13-10 Arizona over USC going into the 4th quarter! The Trojans are play lousy and the Wildcats are playing well-enough to keep the lead!

EDITED TO ADD:

Whoa!
USC scored; 17-10 Trojans now! 10 minutes to play!

ah, the season just got even greater :)

Well...nice going chest-thumping LSU...way to go. There's goes LSU. Another #1 team goes down in flames.

Cal and Ohio State are the co-#1's at the moment. But it's just for this week. Maybe next week. Then they will both lose.

This season is a complete mess. The BCS is in shambles. It's great to be a fan but it's lousy to be an alumnus.

USC "survived" Arizona. They had no running game to speak of. Sanchez looked good enough to play next week, I thought. This week, the problem was pass protection. It was nonexistent for the Trojans. Another OL Stud went down, probably for the season. They were saying 2-time All American Sam Baker sprained his thigh...but I bet it's really a muscle tear. He didn't play again after he left and that was coincidentally..the last time we had a rushing game.

USC has too many injuries to contend. There was a ton of shitty playcalling by "in-over-his-head" Steve Sarkisian. For example, our sure-handed pass-catching FB, Stanley Havili....totally not used last week and this week until in the 4th, strangely, we called his # like 4 plays in a row? Huh? What the fuck is that playcalling? DId you just remember he's a starter and he's good Sarkisian you dumfuck.

Annoying season...Cal is currently on the ropes, at home, to Oregon State. The beavs got embarassed by Cincy earlier so that qualifies them to beat Cal today...

Can we cancel the Heisman this year? Nobody deserves it. Seriously..don't just hand one out because "you have to." Hand it out if someone deserves it. Nobody deserves it this year. Everybody is about average...scholarship limits (and some schools stockpiling overrated '5-stars') have created a SOCIALISTIC FOOTBALL!!! EVERYBODY IS EQUALLY GOOD or bad, depending on your POV...

At the the rate that this crazy year is going...
Anyone up for a South Florida/Hawaii National Championship?

It doesn't bother me. They get it wrong more than half the time anyhow otherwise non-quarterbacks and non-half backs that don't necessarily play on a great team with a good record would win it a lot more. It was never an award that represented the best college football player.

My new top 10, week 7, in which the top two from last week lost:

1. Ohio State (7-0) - I said last week that the Buckeyes were in the perfect position, and I was right!

2. Boston College (7-0) - The Eagles are the new quiet guys on the block even after beating Notre Dame.

3. South Florida (6-0) - I truly think that the Bulls could end up playing for the National Championship. Then, of course, the world will come to an end.

4. Oklahoma (6-1) - One game... One loss will haunt the Sooners.

5. Oregon (5-1) - What what? Well the Ducks are really good and their one loss is a killer, too.

6. LSU (6-1) - It was the worse time to call 4 straight running plays for the Tigers...

7. South Carolina (6-1) - The Gamecocks barely slipped past UNC but a win's a win!

8. West Virginia (5-1) - The Mountaineers had a bye week but have a tough last half of the schedule coming up.

9. USC (5-1) - The Trojans played ugly for the most part, but new QB Mark Sanchez played extra gutty in the win.

10. Hawaii (7-0)
10. Arizona State (7-0) - The Warriors showed their mettle on Thursday and the Sun Devils showed that they are team to contend with in the stacked Pac-10.

Still undefeated: Kansas and Connecticut.

Still What The Fuck: Nebraska - I mean really. Illinois - The Illini get into the Big Poll... then choke. Kentucky and Louisville - Both knocked out undefeated teams (LSU and Cincinnati), but their seasons are still shaky because of no consistency.

I hereby decree this college football season as the CRAZIEST YEAR EVER. Yes, it sucks if you happen to be an alumnus or diehard fan of a school that got a loss or a few, but... wow, there have been so many great games thus far and so many shake-ups in the polls that the final championship game will be with teams that fought their way through this amazing season!

Ohio State is a weak #1 pick. Playing in that conference they'll likely make it to the championship game undefeated, but they'll be vulnerable no matter who they play.

titsrock - You're starting to sound a bit like IAF did defending Nebraska. One week it's Booty, the next it's Carrol, now it's Sarkesian ;) At least their defense looked pretty solid yesterday; and yeah, they had some MIAs in the O line.

I lost any interest really in who wins the Heisman Trophy a long time ago. A lot of times they turn out to be big flukes anyway.

The Auburn Tiger defense absolutely shut Darren McFadden down Saturday night with only 43 yards for the entire game.

The AP top 25, week 7:

1. Ohio State (50 first place votes) 7-0
2. South Florida (11) 6-0
3. Boston College (1) 7-0
4. Oklahoma (1) 6-1
5. LSU (1) 6-1

I am so pleased that South Florida gets the #2 spot!

6. South Carolina 6-1
7. Oregon 5-1
8. Kentucky 6-1
9. West Virginia 5-1
10. California 5-1

11. Virginia Tech 6-1
12. Arizona State (1) 7-0
13. USC 5-1
14. Florida 4-2
15. Kansas 6-0

15. Missouri 5-1
17. Hawaii 7-0
18. Auburn 5-2
19. Texas 5-2
20. Tennessee 4-2

I think Oregon and Ohio State are the 2 best teams in the Nation. LSU is the 3rd Best. Oklahoma is the 4th best. USC Trojans --IF WE GET FUCKING HEALTHY--can be the 5th best team in the nation. USC WRs are a big disappointment this season.

Having said all of this...I have no fucking clue what will happen next week. I don't expect South Florida and Boston College to make the BCS.

As a Buckeye Fan, I am truly excited being # 1! But they way things are going this season for all the previous top ranked teams, I am a bit nervous!

I really hope they win out in the Big Ten, even if they dont, this was still a great season, since I expected less for them this year and expected them to via next year for the BCS.
