I pretty much know because Drew Brees is lovable no one will admit this, but his turnovers have been killing the Saints all season. Most everyone will say its the defense, but if Drew Brees doesnt make some of the bad throws hes made, the defense becomes irrelevant cause they dont hit the field as often they do.

I feel for Alex Smith the most by the way he was jerked around early in his career when San Francisco was so dysfunctional. It probably derailed his development. It makes me wonder how things would have turned out it circumstances would have been switched between him and Arron Rodgers on draft day.
Harbaugh totally went against conventional wisdom by hanging Smith out to dry...That's basically an unheard of thing for a coach to do to his starting QB over a minor injury..He could have easily avoided all this controversy by keeping Smith as the starter and bringing in Kapernick if he struggled, but he decided to go with the "hot hand" instead...It's a gutsy move as long as it works, but if doesn't, it's the kind of thing that can get a coach fired...Needless to say he shouldn't expect much loyalty from the organization if this Kapernick experiment fails.
There are plenty of teams out there who would be happy to have Alex Smith, once he's healthy. He's 28, which is not the youngest but not old either. Same age as Aaron Rodgers. He's got experience but isn't nearing the end of his career like 35 year old Ben Roethlisberger or 36 year old Peyton Manning.

So where do the Niners go from here? Is Kap the guy even if you aren't winning football games? Alex Smith is in the top 10 in QBR and QB rating and has a 20-6-1 record Harbaugh. He's having arguably the best year of his career. How do you put that guy on the bench?
Smith is going to be an absolute head case. Even when he's successful he loses his starting job.

The Colts were lucky to escape Detroit with a win today. Too many INTs from Luck and very porous defense will come back to bite them against better teams. Indy might get into the playoffs this year, but they won't win a game. As far as the rest of the season is concerned, blowout losses to the Texans are forthcoming along with a winnable game against KC. Ending the season at 9-7 would be a great turn around. I'd call that a successful year.

If it's possible, you're being a little too humble with these guys.
They are a dangerous young team mixed with guys who have been around the Colts for years.
They play hard every down and most importantly, they have a cause to rally behind in Chuck Pagano.
Sometimes shit like that just carries a team.
If Houston falters in any way the last 4 games and these guys stay hot......
