2010 Olympics in Vancouver thread

If you're taking 2/3 of the Sharks' top line, why not go all the way and take all three of them? :dunno:

I don't know where any of our offence is. It always seems like Canada's offence never shows up for Olympic games. We were supposed to have a stacked team, the likes of which only Russia could hope to stand up against, and yet, we can't beat Switzerland in regulation and we lost against the Americans. If we don't blow Germany out of the water on Tuesday, I don't see how we can hope to make it past the Russians (Or the Finns. Some reports say Finland, but others say Russia await the winner of Germany/Canada). And given Germany somehow managed to give Sweden a game last week, I can't say I'm not worried.

Apparently, the game against the Russians is supposed to be played at the smaller arena, rather than GM Place. Man, if it is Canada/Russia, they are going to be biting themselves in the ass for that one.

Maybe that's the problem right there. Picking players from the Sharks. You know the team that's favored to win the cup for the past five years yet always chokes. The only guy from that line I'd bring is Heatley.

That was the sweetest empty netter I've seen in some time. Pure hard work, awesome

Tough road ahead for our boys in red but I have faith... good to go

too drunk to commoent on the game.

You're showing remarkable reserve this morning. Good for you!

Hennessy again? Or was it Schlitz tonight?
For me, it was Bombay Gin.

One hell of a game tonight. Ryan Miller is a beast.

Kesler had one of the nicest pure hustle empty netters that I've ever seen.

Did anybody else feel like Neidermayer was skating in slow motion? Guy was getting burned. And Brodeur? Thanks for showing up brah.

WTF is Corey Perry doing on the team? Nice play to let the empty netter in.

On the other hand, team USA is built to win. 2 scoring lines, 2 checking lines and exceptional goaltending. Talk about hustle.

Hege Bøkko is an angel sent to earth.
:glugglug:

What's all the talk about curling being "chess on ice"? It's more like checkers on weed. I watch it and I feel sleepy and hungry at the same time. I remember having seen some of the players at peopleofwalmart.com.

But every sport is more thrilling than women's hockey.
