NHL '09/'10 Season Thread

There was a gigantic fucking rally in the Loop today for the Stanley Cup winning Chicago Blackhawks. The thing is, it was 90 degrees with a 75 degree dewpoint today in the city, which makes it a bit wierd to be wearing a long sleeve Hawks jersey, but so be it.

Record attendance for the Calder Cup game five tonight in Texas. If my connect wins I'll be sure to have him send me a pic of the ring. It's been a great game tonight. Hope Texas pulls out the win. :hatsoff:

God damnit. Texas loses an overtime thriller in Austin tonight. They now go back to the Hershey squirts arena and try to pull off a come back from 2-3 down lead. Hershey has an impecable record at home and of the 18 series only one has come back from down 2-3.

Nikkala made me do it!
FYI, STDiva started us a 2010-2011 thread. :2 cents:

Do we want to ask to have this closed now, or wait a few weeks (after the Awards, maybe)? :dunno:

I s'pose I should've maybe started an AHL (or minor league) thread. Just figured I post in this one. The series is almost over in Hershey. A couple more games. I dearly want a game 7 for several reasons! :hatsoff:

The montreal canadiens have traded Jaroslav halak to the ST.Louis Blues for 2 prospects.

I think it's clear that even though he played very well this season and had a phenomenal playoffs , Halak's value wasn't very high. Getting only a former 2007 first rounder and a third rounder in 2008 is not much. But I'm still not convinced that Halak can be a #1 goalie for a full season of at least 60 games.
