I've seen that same projection. As good as that sounds, Chris Long does a pretty damn good job holding that other DE position for us so, knowing Les Snead as I do, I think this pick will likely be up for bid so the Rams can trade down, possibly get Jake Matthews, Anthony Barr or Sammie Watkins and also pick up some extra picks in the process. Still, Clowney presents a serious temptation.....what a tandem he would make with Quinn! Something the NFL has never seen before....unstoppable really. Interesting thought to ponder without question.
I know it's still early in RG3's career, but it's looking like St. Louis won that trade big time. It makes me wonder where RG3 will rank on the all-time bust list if he doesn't turn things around. Let's say Griffin has a few more injury-plagued and inconsistent seasons in him before being out of the league. In such a scenario, the 'Skins will have given up king's ransom for one successful season. Jamarcus Russell, currently the leader on the QB bust list, never took his team to the playoffs or was selected to a Pro Bowl but Oakland didn't trade away a second and two first round picks to get him.

Yes, but they won without him, too and held up their chances to reach the playoffs. Okay they were a little lucky the Bears and the Lions didn't do any better than them as well.

I started the season bashing Peyton Manning for being a ***** artist in the playoffs. He goes and throws 7 TDs in the season opener and sets the all time season record for TD passes and passing yards and the Broncos set the record for the most points scored. As someone who has a hard on for high powered offenses, I want to see Peyton and the Broncos win it all. It'd be the perfect cap to a record setting year.

I, too would love to see the Broncos win it all. But I wouldn't be surprised if they really went one and done. It would just prove all the people are right. Peyton is the best regular season QB of all time.
If not the Broncos I hope for the Packers. Or the Seahawks, because it would make Mandy Flores extra wet! :drool2:

I honestly think he will make it to the AFC Title game this year, the Colts or Chiefs won't win in Denver. Having said that he's not winning the Super Bowl, no way he rips off 3 straight prime time games in the cold, not gonna happen.

I'm not so sure about that. Can you imagine the numbers that Dan Marino would have put up back in the day if we had the same wussified rules against hitting receivers that we have now? He might have thrown for 60 TDs and 6,000 yds. with guys like Clayton and Duper running wild in the secondary.
I'll give Manning his due, though. He's had an awesome career, terrific quarterback. Probably the smartest ever.
Growing up a Raiders fan, I simply cannot root for the Broncos. As a human, I hope Denver doesn't make the Super Bowl because I simply cannot take two weeks of how Peyton is the greatest human ever to lace up cleats, how the Manning ****** should have its DNA spread across all ****** trees to ensure quality football forever and how those of us who think Peyton is not the social icon most of America does are wrong. Peyton should be a NASCAR driver the way he shills every time he opens his mouth. He is fun to watch, but dear God, enough already.

Like to see the Seahawks vs Broncos to see the best pass defense against the best passing offense. Unlikely to happen though, rarely do both the number 1 seeds advance.
Peyton Manning will play good again but the Broncos defense is likely to screw it up like they did last year. Notice the Ravens didn't even make the playoffs this year with Joe Fluke-o. He would have lost to Manning last year if the defensive backs didn't fall down like they were trying to blow the game on purpose. :S

Obviously, I want Indy to win the Super Bowl. Is that realistic this year? Probably not. I'd settle for beating KC and then playing the Broncos or Pats close.
Also, as a ********* fan of the Niners, I'd like to see them do well. Really anybody but Seattle or NE.

Yeah, lame. When the Packers won it all a few years ago they were like a 9-7 wildcard team and won all their playoff games on the road. Yeah 8-7-1 is a down year but Rodgers is back, the Niners are coming to town, the weather forecast is calling for a high temp of 4 degrees F "The frozen tundra of Lambeau field." (Ok, it's a heated field, but still.) This has all the makings of a classic. Damn, I wish I could be there.

The reason the Packers didn't sell out initially is because they sent out the playoff forms in November. At that time, it didn't look like the team was going to be playing anyway. And if you bought playoff tickets and they failed to get in, you wouldn't get your money back. They just rolled it over to next year. With the holidays close by, that seemed like a risky investment for some people. Oh, and it's going to be like -10 degrees too.
I'm not sure why Indy didn't sell out. The game is indoors. My only guess is that tickets are way too expensive and people didn't want to buy them. Plus, I'd rather watch the game with friends at a big group gathering. I've been to one Colts game in my life. And I don't have any desire to go back. It honestly wasn't that exciting to see the game in person at the old RCA Dome. Again, at home I can watch all the NFL games at once at not have to travel anywhere. Also, I'd rather spend less money and go watch the Pacers play instead.
Had the game been blacked out, I would have been done with buying NFL merchandise. It's ridiculous to think they'd consider blacking out a game because the stadium was only 97% full.
