On another note.

Michigan to release response to NCAA

Buzz up! 268 PrintCHICAGO (AP)—Michigan will publicly release its response to NCAA allegations of major rules violations against coach Rich Rodriguez next week.

Athletic director David Brandon says there will be “total transparency” and that any school-imposed sanctions will be revealed in the report, which will be sent to the NCAA on May 24 and made public the following day.

Brandon spoke Monday in Chicago, where he was attending Big Ten meetings this week.

The NCAA said in February that Rodriguez “failed to promote an atmosphere of compliance within the football program.” It also said he didn’t track what his staff was doing or make sure his players were following NCAA rules, particularly those limiting the time spent on practice and football-related activities.

How bad are they that they cheat and STILL only finish 8-16?

are you kidding?? thats not my list..i was just pointing out v tech and boise dont play in oct. they play in sept and this may be the first team they played in years..coaching is not gunna win that game..the better team is going to win .i think v tech will be ready to play this game...something oregon and tcu wasnt last year:wave2:

Seriously? You noticed a wrong date and felt compelled to repost an entire list? Why didn't you comment on all the other things wrong with this list?

Do you really think that Virginia Tech does not need any coaching or preparation to beat Boise State?

You really have an amazingly simplistic view on college football. I don't think there's any point in debating you because you don't listen, read or remember anything about anything other than that 'Bama is the mightiest team in the history of everything :dunno::thumbsup:

Hey, I just thought I'd share with everyone the Miss Alabama contestant in this weekend's Miss America pageant...

Always classy that there Alabama....

That's a lot of coin for 12 wins.

You know TR I have always repected (but hated) the Trojan program..........but this Lane Kiffin guy is going to be disaster.

I tend to concur. I have never understood the infatuation so many (beginning with the uber loco Al Davis ) franchises and programs have had with this guy in the first place. Is it because his dad has the pedigree or what? I don't get it. Also, he's about as honest, dedicated and loyal as....oh....maybe Nick Saban??? :1orglaugh

Ted Tollner where are you? :D

first post on this section; amazing how things you say on here get twisted..my point being when boise plays v tech this year they will be well coached unlike some of the other teams that has not looked so together..in my book boise still hasnt won in the big dance..they better have the lunch packed because i think they may find out a little about it in this one..nobody is taking them light anymore. and if you would take time to read the one who posted it..the name is on the post??? sorry it wasnt the first but its at the top of the list?Originally Posted by TheAdmiral

I agree, and I hope he fails. There is nothing worse in life than hating the leader of your team!!!!! He was mediocre, at best, as a CO-offensive Coordinator, a disaster with the Rayduhs, and very average (but with a huge mouth) at UTenn. These are NOT the qualifications for someone to lead USC  and to pay this clown $4mil without having done shit  It will be a long, hard season in LaLaland.

Rich Rodriguez may get fired this season, but there is NO QUESTION that he had the credentials to take over Michigan. He will rebound at a program maybe with less of a spotlight -- like ASU?

I guess I will have to suffer through 2 years before Jack Del Rio or Jeff Fisher come in to rescue USC from the quagmire that Lame Kiffin drives the program into.

Pappy Monte admitted that he has no clue how to stop the Spread Offense because he never saw it in the NFL. Guess what...Pete Carroll had "issues" stopping the spread :( The "Tampa 2" defense has no real solution to stop the spread:(

I'm not the greatest fan of Michigan either (the university or the state) and there is no way I would do that.
Seriously. Are you really from this planet?:dunno:

Not that it matters to me but evidently Ms. Fakih is a stripper. Congratulations Michigan!!!

I stand behind Miss Michigan!:o:tongue:

Mojo In The Morning producers have been contacted by representatives of Miss Universe requesting more photographs and information regarding Miss USA Rimah Fakih's involvement in the "Stripper 101" contest. When asked if Fakih's status as Miss USA was in danger, pageant representatives would not answer.

Morning show host Mojo says the controversial photographs were taken from our website where they have been posted for three years. He said Mojo In The Morning will not release any further photographs and hopes that Donald Trump does not ask Fakih to relinquish her crown. "It would be foolish to consider anyone other than Rima to represent the USA. The photos taken from our website are no more provocative than those on the Miss USA website."

Mojo In The Morning fully supports Rimah Fakih as she represents Detroit and America in the Miss Universe contest... The radio show will not entertain requests to drag her name through the mud.
:hatsoff:

The NCAA is starting to become a joke. They say that they 'don't' want a play-off system because it keeps the kids away from school longer, but a lot of schools now play 12, 13, and even 14 game schedules. It's all politics, and the big conferences have got everyone in a choke hold and they're not going to let up.

Sentiment against a playoff is how it will take away from the unique excitement college football has over most other sports. Every weekend seems to have the excitement of a playoff.

Also, it might be difficult to do with a poll system still in place. If you wanted to do fair justice to a playoff you'd have to do away with polls outright IMO.

Otherwise situations like has happened with a couple of B12 teams still making it into the BCS champ game after having been hammered in their own conference champ game.

Every weekend has the excitement of a playoff as long as you remain undefeated (or maybe 1 loss). Any more than that and it's all over so the playoff excitement exists only for a very select number of teams.

I think the reason for the intense atmosphere for each game is due more to the fact that there is only a 12-game schedule than anything else. The excitement level would be much higher (and more widespread) if there were a playoff system IMO.

Oh my what a shame that would be! There isn't a single other sporting competition where the champion is decided by a poll. It's a joke and has been for decades.

You just said it..as long as you remain undefeated (or maybe 1 loss). Therein lies the point...The implications of remaining undefeated for every team in the system every week creates the weekend and week-out excitement.:2 cents:

Oh I don't see that as the point at all. Pro football has 4 more regular season games and beyond the excitement of particular match ups, early season games are nearly irrelevant IMO.

When a pro football team fights to stay unbeaten...(or not as in the case of last season's Colts)..it's merely for the record books.

Well my point was it's needs to be done either one way or the other. Not this quasi playoff (does exist in conferences with stupid championship games)/Poll/Bowl system.:2 cents:

College football has a unique excitement for a reason....just be careful for what you all wish for.

I don't understand. Do you think it's weird that I wouldn't boo a hot woman because of where she is from or do you think it's weird I don't like Michigan?

I'm thinking he meant you meant you "wouldn't do" her.:o
