Hopefully you don't have any coin on it!
Is there ANY SPORT greater than the college football regular season???
lol none of my picks have even scored a point. :1orglaugh
Hopefully you don't have any coin on it!
What the fuck is cal doing. They are laying one of the greatest eggs in the history of their program at Autzen. Unfuckingbelievable.
It's weekends like this where we really don't need a college playoff. The "system" seems to sort itself out somehow.
I think we might need to chip in and buy Skyraider a stripper tonight. His 'Noles are one of the biggist letdowns of the season. HOW can they lose at home against USF w/o their stud QB whateverhisnameis? HOW?
Whoever thought home teams wearing white was a good idea...maybe needs to be fired. Cincy wore white and almost got beat. The Noles wore white at got beat. Miss St wore white at home and almost pulled off the shock win, but....almost ain't good enough Starkys...
Disappointed with THE U because I hate to say it but if they go 2-2 with this 4 game gauntlet, the swagger of the season pretty much evaporates and we're back to "same ol' Miami"? The OU game is now officially MUST WIN and maybe SEASON SAVING???
There really is nothing like college football. If you can make money betting on it, you have more stones than I do....My trojans are 40 something pt favs against the Cougs tonight and I'm thinking laying money on the Cougs to cover might not be a bad idea--and then SC erupts for a 60 pt beatdown... I wonder if College Gameday will back out of going to Bezerkely next weekend for the SC/cal game now that cal choked badly today?

No way....the future is very bright for the 'Canes in spite of the ass-kicking that VT put on 'em today. All praise and props to Beamer's crew....Taylor, Williams and the D were awesome. I could make excuses about the weather and those key drops by Graham and...well...it is pointless. Just one of those days. Unfortunately, in college football, having "one of those days" can dash your national title hopes instantaneously. Looks like the ACC is going to be a dogfight (oops....is that Ok to use as a reference? :1orglaugh) but I still like Miami's chances and I really like their chances to rebound next week against OU at home. No, t-rock, not the "same ol' Miami". Shannon has brought the program all the way back. These kids are very young and are just going to get better. Not to be corny, but sometimes a loss can be a positive reality check. I bet practice this week will be pretty intense down in Coral Gables. They lost to what was simply a better team....today at least.
Other random shots before tonight's games (God damn I love Saturday!!)....
Cal's performance (or lack thereof) is shocking. WTF is up with that? I thought this game would be a knock down drag out affair. Looks like the Pac 10 is up for grabs too. A second chance for USC to win the conference perhaps?
'Bama looks very strong. They controlled the game against the Hogs from start to finish. The D is really good....I like 'em a lot and they have to be the biggest threat to the Gators in the conference. McElroy was awesome.
Texas absolutely slaughtered UTEP today. No mercy. I'm glad this is the end of the creampuffs for Mack and the boys. Now the real season begins for them. I'm very encouraged that our running back corps seems to be so deep. McGee, Whitaker, Johnson and Newton are all really good and mean fresh legs for the 'Horns all season. Very impressive. McCoy looked very sharp. We look ready. To quote George W. Bush...."bring 'em on!!".
Why isn't Illinois' offense any good? Kudos to the Ohio State University for a dominant performance but the Illini just look pathetic. How can they have Juice Williams and Arrelious Benn on that side of the ball and not be able to do anything? Ron Zook's job may be in trouble.
We'll see if Penn State is the real thing or just another top 10 team waiting to fall against Iowa tonight. I really like the way the Hawkeyes match up against them. Should be a real battle....I'll pick Iowa to have a repeat of last year's performance and win in a close one. Iowa 27, PSU 24.
I've already talked about Texas Tech-Houston in a prior post. If you are a fan of offense, do not miss this game. Should be a scoring orgy. Rooting for the Coogs so I say they win 48-47.
That's it for now....I'm cracking my first beer so I guess I should issue a disclaimer right now should any other posts tonight seem to be out of line or just plain crazy. Pals coming over so we'll be drinking heavily the remainder of the evening.
 DANTONIO !!!!!!

Miami (FL) is definitely in good shape looking ahead...you don't compile that much speed on a team and not give yourself a puncher's chance in almost any game.
I don't think Miami (FL) is as bad as VT made them look today but I don't think they were as great as all the anointing they were receiving after hanging on to win against what's proving to be a helter-skelter FSU team and pummeling of a sapped GT team......
Look on the bright side....if going 2-2 against their first 4 opponents was necessary...at least winning the first two did more to improve their stature than winning the last two would have IMO.
...and those key drops by Graham...

I don't know if you realize it but Miami plays Oklahoma next week.
I do....hence to 2-2 reference in my post...
