Didn't know quite where to post this. Decided here as it has something to do with the world cup.

[Liverpool.tv=QUOTE]
Djibril Cisse is aiming to return to competitive action by September as he continues his recovery from a broken leg.
Cisse's World Cup dreams were ruined when he sustained the injury during his country's final warm-up match against China, but the Liverpool striker insists he's remained in good spirits as he battles to regain full fitness as soon as possible.

"When I just got injured, I knew my World Cup was over, but I didn't break down," he said. "It is not in my character.

"I'll bounce back straight away. When I had my scan, and they told me the injury that calmed me a little, maybe because I had the same injury to the other leg.

"I never let my head drop, I never let myself go. In four months I'll be back, and that's all. I never thought my career was over.

"The doctors told me I'll be back in October. So I would say I'll play towards the back end of September.

"It wasn't the worst moment in my career, because it's just a physical injury. The worst was Euro 2004 when I missed it with a five-match suspension.

"I will be there for the next World Cup. I will achieve a nice season and score goals. I am already thinking about the Euro qualifiers!"[/QUOTE]

If he does it will be as a amazing recovery as when he broke the other leg.

I hope he is back is soon as I think he is a good player. Also it will allow him some games to get fitness and games so his value will go back up for when Liverpool decide to sell him on in Janurary.

Ronaldo records won't go higher, they gonna loose 3-0 again against France and he will take his retreat before zidane, so bored :D

Yeah, yeah! Not every time LUCKY is in your side. :D Good bye Zidane, by the way, know how Ronaldo is reatreating? Going to USA Soccer league to receive 3x his income in Real Madrid, well doesnt looks like a retreat to me :D

Yeh dida has done an excellent job as goalie, he is an unsung hero

To you see how funny the brazilians are, Dida has a wonderful image as goalkeeper and huge contract with Millan to do it, but brazilians thought before the Cup about Dida was "I don't know if Dida is prepared top this Cup.". Brazilian fans are evil, if he play like he is doing, he's a hero. If he do a little a mistake, wow, he's a loser. For me, 'til now, Dida has the best peformance in this Cup than ANY other brazilian player, is the only one who is really playing and showing why he is so expensive as Goalkeeper on Millan.

It should be yes, but I haven't seen much of it except for the game against Japan.

BTW, about Australia, I really like to see them play. They didn't really use the long ball tactics. They played with power, passion and a lot of joy. I'm still waiting to see that back in Brazil this tournament. Just look at Ronaldinho so far, where's the star of Barcelona? I haven't seen him like that so far, and that's a pity. Maybe they're doing this on purpose and saving up their powers for the last matches.

I didnt say Australia didnt play with passion and I didnt say he play badly, I just said teams like them are good enough in plays middle-field and defense, but still missing experience in the offensive players. They didnt score a goal with well finished play in this Cup, some were beautiful goals, but not well finished, see? You dont see Australia going in the goal area in attack doing short passes to reach the goal, Brazil isnt play well, but see the first goal against Ghana, it was a trained play, Ghana defense play in line, Brazil tranied over over his attack like that and worked in the first 5 minutes of the game. Still missing to the new teams like Australia a player who make a wrong pass or wrong play into a goal, thats the difference. Against Italy, if the aussie attack did their job probably they wouldn't crying about the robbish. What Im gonna say about Brazil now will explain better what I mean.

About Ronaldinho and Brazilian team, Braziil isn't work how they should, I agree. I'm not talking about the "Joga Bonito", we love if they play "Joga Bonito", but it comes natturally with the game it's not the main objective of the game, I'm talking about Brazil make the things works. Brazil this year is the only team who isn't using the 4-4-2, they are using 4-2-4, its tottally different, with this config they should be with the ball the most of time or attacking or in defense and the middle-field, instead start the play there, acts like a connection to the play for a goal start with the offensive, Ronaldingo and Kaka, and go throught Ronaldo and Adriano to score it. Then comes the problem, defense is playing as they should and the goalkeeper too, but the midle field :( We just he two of them and Emerson is really doing shit, that can't happen, every time he do it we have to go to defense, they are defending more than they should and with that comes wrong passes and low ball's possession. Our middle-field is working 50%, or just working one side, in the left, thats one problem.

Second problem, I never like Parreira, he is a good coach, but Scolari is 100x better. Parreira know what's better to a team play like his style, when Scolari knows what style is better to the team. If Parreira could choose his Brazil, probably was a different team, his style is a better work in the middle-field and more work with short passes to reach the offensive area, or strong and fast counter-attacks. Brazil '94 is the truly image what Parreira likes and his style. But to this Brazil that kind of game don't work, Ronaldinho will play everytime 100x better on Barcelona, his position in Brazil is quite another than in Barcelona, probably if Parreira didn't have to deal with CBF contracts of corruption Brazil would have the right player for the right positions. Ronaldo is better, but quite distant to a player in his position and Adriano, for god love, he is playing like a pig. And short passes isnt the better for the team, this Brazil is different the other years, the strong point is lot of techinic and some long and high passes (strong point of Ronaldinho). Against Japan, Brazil worked because, sorry about what I will say, Parreira let his team have a fun game to their fans, Ronaldinho doing what he wants to do, players who all the world like Juninho Pernambucano and Robinho playing as official. And dont know if you watch the full game against Japan, Robinho was changed his position four times in the game, what team make it in a serious match? Im not saying isnt the players fault, Im just saying the fault is 50% (Parreira) and 50% Ronaldo, Adriano, Emerson, R. Carlos (who didnt play a little in this cup) and less Ronaldinho (who can be in the wrong position but should stay his mind in trying to help Brazil with what he got).

What Brazil has and is what is helping him to go further is a good defense and more important, a experienced attack who when they could score it, and nothing is worst to the another team than take a goal. But my Brazil is far to a well structured team and miles away from his slogan "Joga Bonito" (play beautifully). What a Brazil wants is a harder oponnent, maybe France if play well will give it to them and might we see a Brazil who a lot of people is waiting to watch. ;)

Nikkala made me do it!
I read this morning that Luis Medina Cantalejo, the referee who awarded the controversial injury time PK to Italy vs Australia, has been assigned to Brazil vs France. What an absolute freaking joke! :ban:

it really doesnt matter since with such a good goalkeeper and experienced players against the nervous aussies Italy couldn't possibly lose the penalty shoot-out, even though it wouldnt be a first.

Anyway, Italy won, lame ref calls suck but its part of the game, its old news, get over it.

Breaking news at the moment is that Frank Lampard could be out of Englands quarter-final game with ankle injury. He according to reports went down heavy on it in training, but got up and walked away. But after took no further part in training.

According to Sky Sports News, Lampard will train today, thus meaning he will be able to play. However I think that it may bew better for England if he didn't.

Im sad with Argetina going home. :(
And more sad about the fight in end of game GER x ARG, doesnt matter have Fair Play all the game and after it end in a ugly fight.
Congrats to Germans, was a great game, even beating then in a Penalties Shootout, that's kind of lottery, besides Germany had a penalty wich ref didnt see, was meant to be like that. :(
To Argentina, more lucky next cup and more sport about the game. Shame fight!

Argentina was better for the most part but as soon as Riquelme left the pitch I knew they were doomed.

Lehmann proved he deserved to be the first goalkeeper over Kahn.

germany vs the argies   best thing that happen was the punch up :fight: at the end the match :D

COME ON ENGLAND!

I, for one, am happy Argentina is out and Germany in. I thought that both teams left all on the field, playing hard. The fight at the end was rather stupid, but didn't mar a spectacular finish!

The first one I understood, but why this FA Cup Final means Final Cup in England, and what he means with all that? Thanks and sorry! ;)

The Football Association Cup (FA Cup) is the major cup competition in England and Lehmann saved a penalty in the Final in May 2005.
I mean he saved penalties in all of those important matches (FA Cup final, Champions League Semi-Final and World Cup Quarter Final) to prove he is good at saving penalties. I can't put it any clearer.
