Racing is life... anything else is just waiting.
You know why I hate universal health care - because I have to pay for it. No, not for me, but for somebody else. My taxes are going up so that somebody else can get their fucking health care. I don't give a shit about anybody else. If you can't afford your own fucking medical care, then you don't deserve to be treated. It's not my fucking job to provide for some gutter trash and her six children. I take care of myself and so should everybody else.
I think I remember reading that you're a teacher? Hopefully you teach in a private school, because otherwise, you're living in the void of your own argument. I've been in real estate for a number of years. And over the course of that time, I've paid hundreds of thousands of dollars in property taxes in various localities around the U.S. Depending on the area, the better part of that money has gone for public education... including teacher salaries.
I don't have children. I don't plan on having children. But if I did, odds are I would send them to private school. When I was engaged, it was to a girl getting her Masters in Education - so she was going to home school any kids we had, if we didn't opt for a private school. But in any case, using your logic, why should people like me have to pay for public school teacher salaries, when we don't have children, or if we'd send our kids to private school?
If I had all the money in my account that has gone to education (through property taxes) over the years, I'd surely have enough to buy a Bentley GT... with enough still left over to send any kid I might have to Harvard. So why should I have to pay taxes to pay for people who can't afford private school, or who don't have the skill set to properly home school their own kids??? And even worse, why am I paying for pensions and helath care for public school teachers?!
I got mine. Let them get theirs. Right?
