Barry Sanders, and maybe Tim Brown I agree with, but Eddie George was never that great and was very highly overrated even when he played. Look at some of his yards per carries for the years he played. Good, let alone great backs, don't average barely over 4 yards per carry.
I disagree.

NFL career

George won the NFL Rookie of the Year award in 1996, and was the Oilers/Titans' starting tailback until 2003, never missing a start due to injury. He made the Pro Bowl 4 times (1997-2000), and assisted the Titans to a championship appearance in Super Bowl XXXIV, where they lost to the St. Louis Rams 23-16. George gained 391 combined rushing and receiving yards in the Titans' 3 playoff games that year, and went on to rush for 95 yards, catch 2 passes for 35 yards, and score 2 touchdowns in the Super Bowl.

Numerous sports writers have suggested that a heavy workload was the primary factor in George's decline. In five of his eight seasons with the Titans, George carried the ball over 330 times. In 2003, George rushed for a near career low 3.3 yards per carry. George's decline in production along with numerous toe and ankle injuries were contributing factors in Titan's owner, Bud Adams decision to release him after George would not agree to a pay cut. [1]

George signed a one-year contract with the Dallas Cowboys on July 23, 2004 for $1.5 million plus incentives that could have earned him more than the $4.25 million he would have made under his contract with the Titans, who released him on July 21 in part due to salary cap considerations. He retired from the NFL before the 2005 season.

His career totals include 10,441 rushing yards, 268 receptions, 2,227 receiving yards, and 78 touchdowns(68 rushing and 10 receiving).

The One and Only Big Daddy
Okay guys the bowl season starts this weekend there are some pretty good games this Saturday.I for one will be checking out the South Florida-Memphis.It will really be a home game for the Bulls and I'm thinking that it will not be close but the bulls have struggled this year and Memphis runs a spread anyone out there is a South Flordia fan I'm intrested because I follow Memphis and do you guys think it will be a good game I have not seen much of the Bulls this year ENJOY THE GAME AND THE BOWLS:thumbsup:

I think South Florida will win the game because it's across one bridge for them. They should have a decent fan advantage. I haven't seen USF this season but last season they had a decent defense. They have a run/pass QB so if he can play well, USF might have an edge.

USF is solid
theyve got a pretty damn good defense
their offense is inconsistent...especially in the 2nd half of the season
however being basically a home game...i give USF the advantage

23-17 USF

I am going to do my picks today. Do you know how the CONFIDANCE ranking works?

it works in order of confidence
so....put your highest confidence into a sure thing

for example

Florida v Oklahoma

if you think Florida will win no doubt....put your highest confidence into it
and work your way down....etc, etc

34 would be highest confidence
1 would be lowest confidence

hes had a solid NFL career...not to the level of the other guys
but he wasnt a failure....maybe a little in oakland...but hey...randy moss and warren sapp have also failed in oakland
But, Moss and Sapp went there when it looked like their careers were over. Woodson was always a Raider in his best years. Overrated he was. Just my opinion. In the case of Sapp, that turned out to be true. lol

I think Arizona vs BYU is the best game.

45-41 BYU!
Funny, that is the exact score of the bowl game I think will be the best. Clemson/Nebraska. Clemson will win, but I see a shootout brewing.

Do you know how the CONFIDANCE ranking works?
Yes. It is easy. The game you have zero confidence, you give a one. The game you are the surest about, you give the most points. :hatsoff:

Bowl Preview

Eaglebank Bowl: Wake Forest v. Navy--A rematch of their Sept. 27th meeting in which the Middies got the win 24-17. Deacons QB Riley Skinner threw four INTs and was sacked three times as the Wake Forest O-Line had the shivers. Meanwhile Navy RB Eric Kettani rushed for over 170 yards. Wake's problem? Red Zone defense. Niumatalolo's 3-back too much for the Deacons? Well, they kept it close despite all the mistakes. I doubt whether Grobe will let his team f*ck up that many times again. But ya never know. Nium will probably force feed tapes of the WF/Maryland game to the team. Look for Butkus winner Curry to have a good game.

Anybody want to do a preview of the later bowls? ;)

Well it's going the way of their last meeting, with the Midshipmen up 13-0. :dunno: The DD's are having trouble with White.

Navy's rushing attack is just a tad bit too physical for Wake in my opinion....
but Wake is hangin in there.....theyre drivin deep into the redzone down 13-7
