Is anybody starting to get tired of the style of hockey we're seeing in the playoffs? Dump the puck in, crowd the net and either try to screen the goalie or hack the puck past him. Overtime and 2-1 games are great, but I want to see action.

Well I am not sure I can say you were one of the people bitchin about the flyers / penguins high-scoring series, but allot of people were complaining about the lack of defense and goal-tending, I mean I like a back and forth game as much as anybody else, but sometimes its just awful hockey when there is a lack of defense or terrible goal-tending.

I don't necessarily like seeing any team(s) just keep throwing the puck in and trying to get it, it's not smart hockey and doesn't seem very logical, but I do love a crowd around the net and mass hysteria breaking out in response to a (or the) puck being in play so close to the net. :2 cents:

I have to say, this was a terrible fuckin year for me picking and or backing a team once my Red Wings were eliminated, every fuckin team I wanted to win, fuckin LOST, and I don't like / **** 3 out of the final 4 teams, I was hoping Washington would beat the Rangers so I could have atleast 1 series go the way I wanted, but NO, that didn't even happen.

I am not picking any winners for the conference finals, but I hope to hell the Kings win the cup and if that can't or doesn't happen, I wouldn't be crushed if NJ wins it if the Kings don't, otherwise I will be fuckin PISSED if the only original 6 team won, cuz I fuckin **** them with a passion, well without further to do or say, let the games begin! :2 cents:

Describes him pretty well to me. The only reason he's still playing is to break records, he never loved the game more than himself. He's very good but extremely smug, I can bring up articles I have read in the past but then that would be to much trouble. Believe me or not, it's my opinion of the prick.

The first round was the best, yes, but you are right, the second round hasn't been nearly as good. :2 cents:

I don't know about that, at the end of the day, no matter which 2 teams meet in the finals, and for that matter, all the games be played from here on out, I think all the teams @ this point are all brainwashed into DEFENESE 1st, and everytime you get a chance to capitalize on a mistake you bury it, so I don't think were gonna be seeing any teams trying to be fancy or something that might lead to a goal being given up because of an ill advised play that would cost the team a game / a series especially since all the teams are so close to playing for the Stanley Cup. I think everything will be very physical and very intense from here on out from all the teams still playing. :2 cents:

I am certainly happy too see what LA did in game 1 they looked damn good!!! and if it wasn't for Mr. M. Smith and the fact that Phoenex blocked so many shots as a whole team effort, it would've been a blowout victory for LA, LA looked so much faster and they really dominated the play the entire game. the only reason Phoenix even scored was 1 terrible goal given up by J. Quick, and another questionable play by Quick that led to the 2nd goal being scored, other than that, if Quick plays stellar like he has been thus far this playoff year, they could be hoisting Lord Stanley in couple of weeks.. that would be pretty cool if LA goes on too win it all. :yesyes:

No doubt! NBA basketball has become so difficult to watch. And it used to be amazing. Now it's just a bunch of morons playing one-on-one basketball. 99% of the players in the NBA today are basketball dumb. And lets face it, the only thing that compares to playoff hockey is playoff baseball, and both are the shiznittle bam snip snip snap!

Olympic hockey is the best. NHL playoff hockey and World Cup soccer follow closely in my book.

I'm fucking stoked to see L.A. get to the SCF and honestly don't mind either of the East Coast teams in there. Rangers-Kings SCF would be bananas though.

Well as most of you all know by my prior posts I am not very happy about the blue shirts playing in the ECF and I hope to gawd that the Devils eliminate them, but, just as I will be watching all of the LA and Phoenix games, I will watch allot if not all of the Devils / blue shirt games, and I sincerely wish this has somekind of effect on the blueshirts losing the series..

If any or all of the games end up having a bunch of scrums / fights I would be a very happy hockey fan, that would make for a very entertaining ECF's if indeed it does get nasty like that. and all I want too see is the Devils eliminate the team in blue, really thats all I really care about. if that doesn't happen I will be pretty fuckin pissed the blue shirts even make it into the finals, in which case I hope they are beat up enough that the WC team (hopefully it will be the Kings) beats them to a ****** blue pulp. :2 cents:

Errr seeing the blueshirts win game 1 made my skin crawl!!! :cussing: and I don't like when my skin crawls because it usually has to do with somebody or something I loathe, that being said I would love for it not too happen anymore this year as far as the NHL is concerned so please MAN the fuck up goes out to the NJ DEVILS!!! :cussing:

I am not normally the guy to talk like this but: What a joke the announcing has been in this game! Also, wtf is up with that call on Brown?

After the boarding by Doan the announcers said "you have to feel for Doan." BULLSHIT! He boarded a guy and got a game misconduct, he commited a penalty and got the appropriate call.

Then Smith wacks Brown in the back of the kneecap and the refs call embellishing! WTF!!! The announcers then said that "it's a hockey play." Then after seeing it again they did say that it was a tough call but, certainly no "you gotta feel for Brown."

I'm not saying that we should have Bob Miller announcing games, but we should certainly have better than this crap!

Ahh I half way agree with you but I don't think Doan intended on making a dirty hit, lewis turned @ the very last second there was no way Doan could have pulled up or changed the way he already planned on hitting him, it looked bad, and its fucked up lewis got ******, but Doan didn't intend on that happening.. Smith should get a suspension for using his stick with gross intent to injure, but that won't happen given Smith is there best player, and probably the only reason there still playing this far into the playoffs, if smith gets suspended I would be shocked, if Doan gets suspended I would be surprised but not shocked only because he has a prior track record for bad hits etc.. the Havlat hit was the worst, he should definitely be suspended for game 3, maybe even game 4, but I don't think he has any priors for bad hits, so he'll probably sit for game 3, but @ this point I don't think it even matters, Phoenix is burnt yotes!!! there done!!! GO DEVILS!!!
