NFL '11 Season Thread

I can see where both sides come from, but i am not going give any flack to Drew Brees. for several reasons..

He broke the record fair and square
He is not responsible for the rule changes that has turned QB's and recievers into wussies (and the NFL into the No Fun League)
He did it in the NFL where there is no cream puff competition like in college where any QB good, bad or average could inflate his stats on weak sisters.

I can see why some people are skeptical because of the stupid rule changes, but thats the game as its played now, rules change on a constant basis in every sport, people have to accept that instead of whining about them. I hate the new rules as much as anyone, but i understand the NFL wants to put emphasis on player safety, a bitter irony considering football is the most violent sport of the big 4, and theyve done with the rules on contact against recievers.

LOL

Stafford - 10 wins. 36 TD's. 14 INTs. 4,518 Yards.
Manning - 8 wins. 26 TD's. 16 INTs. 4,587 Yards.

Seems pretty clear who had the better year to me. Stafford also led the Lions to 4 second half comebacks when down by 13 or more points. So why does Manning belong in the Pro Bowl over Stafford? Because he won a Super Bowl in 2007? Oh ok. Put your helmet back on apz. There isn't enough room in your mouth for Tebow and Eli's cock. Cam Newton belongs over Eli. Romo belongs over Eli. I'd even say Ryan deserves an alternate spot over Eli. Eli is a solid QB, but he doesn't deserve a Pro Bowl spot this year.

You lost me @ Romo....

You lost me at having nothing to say but putting smileys. Romo has more TD's and less interceptions. Why Manning and not him? Hm? Can you give me one good reason why Manning deserves a spot over any of the guys I mentioned? That's what I thought.

Diva is your av a combo of wookie and Magui?

I think it's a cat with human teeth. I really don't know for sure.

IF you are trying to tell me that Tony Romo, Matt Stafford or Matt Ryan (I'll give you Cam) have the CREDENTIALS to be even CONSIDERED making a Pro Bowl over Eli Manning then theres not much I can say to you to change your mind beacuse not only is that notion assanine but it is assaten, asseleven, assatwelve.....NOT to mention you sound like a serious homer w/ that Stafford bullshit!

Eli is a PROVEN commodity and merits the RESPECT of the vote over all those "kids"....Romo is just a fuckin' scrub!

First of all, I fucking hate the Lions. If you read the thread instead of stopping by every 3 months to suck Tebows cock, you'd know this. Secondly, It's not a lifetime achievement award. WTF are you even talking about? Credentials? What do past achievements have to do with awarding this seasons best players? You're a funny guy. Anybody who's anybody knows Stafford is having a better year than Eli.

It has ALOT to do w/ it. Lots of players who might not be having the best year ALWAYS are voted in due to their standing w/ the other coaches and players DUE to their past credentials. YOU think Stafford is having a better year than Eli, NOT everybody.
Most people would laugh you out of the room
And let me make something clear to you, I DON"T suck Tebow's cock like you are doing Staffords, all I have said is that the kid deserves a chance to prove himself. I could care less wtf happens w/ Tebow....

Pro Bowl selector #1 "Hmm. Staffords numbers are pretty good this year. He's also led a perennial shithouse into the playoffs. Should we put him in the Pro Bowl?"

Pro Bowl selector # 2 "No. Even though Eli has less TD's, more INT's and less wins in an easier division, he's PROVEN he can win. 4 years ago. He's earned my respect. He deserves the spot."

Pro Bowl selector # 1 "But that doesn't make any sense. Stafford has clearly had the better year."

Pro Bowl selector # 2 "..."

Now ya said something.....Thats just IS how it is sometimes.

I'm sucking Staffords cock? By what? Posting his superior stats in nearly every category? It's a pretty general consensus Stafford was robbed. It's reassuring to know we have people like alexpnz on the voting board. Also, Romo has more TD's, less INT's, higher completion percentage and higher QB rating. But Eli has respect. haha.

I guess Peyton Manning should get in too.

IF he wasn't hurt and If voted by his peers.....absolutely!
Do you mean to tell me that if Stafford had a HUGE year and Peyton (If he played) had a less than average year, should or would be voted before Peyton???

Thats what I thought....Stafford should only be allowed to be water boy.

Whoever had the better year should be voted in. Anything that says opposite is fucking stupid.

Also...if this proven commodity nonsense is actually how they vote, why is Patrick Peterson getting the nod over Devin Hester? And when shooting down the guys I thought were more deserving of a spot, you said, "I'll give you Cam." So he's a more proven commodity over Stafford? Or Romo? Or Ryan? Which is it?

Don't you understand, the Pro Bowl is all politics.
It's the same names every year.
4 or 5 QB's voted...multiple Wideouts, etc. It's all bullshit!
Before you take this too personal, my original point was that Eli will ALWAYS get the nod over the guys you named due to politics of the voting.
My PERSONAL opinion is that putting Ryan, Stafford and Romo in the same breath as Eli is disrespectful to Eli.

Now Cam?
He's the future face of the league and he will ALWAYS make the Pro Bowl from here on out....Thats Factual.

There's nothing personal, brother!! Just banter between two queers!

I still strongly disagree with you, however. This is a moot point anyway. Either Brees or Rodgers will be in the Super Bowl and Stafford will be starting in the Pro Bowl.

I didn't even get a chance to mention the biggest snub of all....Alex Smith.

Also, most the GREAT QB's voted will claim injury and not show up anyway...chances are all your boys might get a snap or 2 anyways. ;)

I hope so. I'd rather see Newton running laps around Hawaii than Manning lite overthrow Fitzgerald all day.

I can just see it now...."Manning, 50 yard completion to Megatron for the TD!" :1orglaugh:stir:

Matt Stafford, Tony Romo, and Cam Newton all deserved Eli Manning's Pro Bowl spot more. Stafford in particular easily dwarfs Manning's candidacy. What a joke.

New York Jets @ Miami <-- This is the last game Jason Taylor will ever play, I think Miami wins it for him.

San Francisco @ St Louis <-- The rams, are a complete joke.

Carolina @ New Orleans <-- A good running game and an amazing passing game, that's some scary shit.

Tennessee @ Houston <-- What happened to the Yates magic???

Washington @ Philadelphia <-- The eagles win this game to save Reid

Detroit @ Green Bay <--Green Bay still tries to beat the Lions

Chicago @ Minnesota <-- Josh McCown is trying to keep his dreams of being an NFL Backup QB alive..

Indianapolis @ Jacksonville <-- Some with Dan Orlovsky, he's going to win the game, but lose the draft pick..

Buffalo @ New England <-- The bills aren't the same team that they were back in the first few weeks

Seattle @ Arizona <-- Skelton would have made the comeback, but his reciever fell down after calling for the pass.. I still believe

San Diego @ Oakland <-- Adios, Norv Turner!

Kansas City @ Denver <-- I figured teams would start to figure out how to stop tebow

Tampa Bay @ Atlanta <-- Falcons win at home, just not on the road...

Baltimore @ Cincinnati <-- Ravens suck on the road against 4-3 defenses this year, because Cam Cameron is an idiot..

Pittsburgh @ Cleveland <-- I think this will be close, but than the browns will remember they are the browns..

Dallas @ New York Giants <-- If Romo's hand was messed up, I'd pick the cowboys
