NFL '11 Season Thread

How did New England go 13-3 and New York 9-7 when New York has the better overall talent? Oh yeah, cuz New England has Tom Brady and doesn't have Tom Coughlin. I forgot.

Btw, no one's noticed this, but New York was actually outscored on the season lol, 394 points for, 400 against. That's fucking crazy, and it'd be amazing that a team with a negative point differential actually won the Super Bowl.

And everyone keeps talking about New York's "great" defense and New England's "crappy" defense. Bottom line, the Giants gave up 400 whopping points this season. The Patriots? 342, 58 points less.

Stop overthinking this. Patriots are gonna win this thing, easily.

On one hand it's not like the Patriots exactly played the toughest schedule this year, especially the offenses they faced. On the other the Giants' point differential doesn't exactly scream dominance. The game is too close to call between these two. I wouldn't be surprised if all it takes is a couple lucky bounces for one team or for one team to have a player or two playing out of their minds to be able to win this.

I'm going Patriots on this one, 34-21. Redemption game.

I didn't watch it this year, it just gets worse and worser each year. They have to change it soon.

It's pretty much flag football. Do away with it, I say. I don't even think the players like playing in it, although I'm sure they bring plenty of family members out to Hawaii to get away from it all.

It's just a bad Idea because the game is so rough and the players can possibly get injured.

Parcells not making it surprises me a bit.

The one that surprises me every year is Chris Carter. I dont understand how he has not gotten in while other recievers who had inferior careers compared to his are getting voted in. Bill Parcells to me is a case of some of the writers having thoughts that hes not fully retired yet. Thats the thought that has kept him out to this point, and i think there are still some who think he is going to coach again one day.

Why does the Hall of Fame hate wide-outs? Cris Carter and Tim Brown are Hall of Famers, why are they continually denied? And if they can't get in, then Randy Moss, Terrell Owens, Torry Holt, Isaac Bruce and Marvin Harrison can forget about it.

Agreed its BS, especially Cris Carter, that guy's a Hall of Famer, no question about it.

I always viewed Curtis Martin as a person that was an above average to good player that compiled and padded his stats over a long period of time more than somebody I would classify as great and a big threat against the opposing team. He seems like a weak selection. I can't remember a time when people that played against him or were fans of other teams he was playing against were thinking, "Oh no, we better be really concerned about him" when they played against him.

It was nice to see some linemen get recognized.

Belichek I think is a piece of shit. Too much shady shit and of course who could forget how atrociously he acted after the Pats lost last Super Bowl. He's a smart coach but I don't think I would want to sit down and have a chat and drink with as a fan. Probably doesn't even sign autographs for little kids.
