horror movies

I did see Burlesque, I liked it. I didn't love it, but I liked it. I was pleasantly surprised that they did as much dancing in it as they did, as that's the main reason I wanted to see it. But it was too much like Coyote Ugly for me to be very impressed with it.

exactly. but it has a better soundtrack, and didnt have the mistake that coyote ugly had by saying that the 1st appearance of the punisher was the holy grail of comics...

I haven't seen any of Lars Von Trier's other movies so I don't know how flawed or how good they compare to Antichrist.
Antichrist is like an Adam Sandler comedy compared to some of his other movies. Well, maybe not, but at least the sets consist of more than chalk marks on a theatre stage (unlike Dogville), and the camera is pointed at the actors most of the time (unlike The Boss of It All). I think he´s one of the most interesting directors right now, even if his weird ideas in how to shoot a movie doesn´t always work.

i dont know, i really think that movie (franchise) set a lot of the cliches that are seen in slasher films and made fun of by spoofs... just like the whole "being able to catch a running girl while walking"?

Jupp, too many cliches. BUT; it is still worth have seen some of the films

Truth be told as far as I am concerned anyway. We should never have seen the Norwegian base and what happened. There was no need. You can make your own mind up when watching the Kurt Russell version. I will try my damnedest to purge the memory of this tripe from my mind and never look back at it ever again. Never!. If I could destroy the memory of one movie from everyones mind and destroy the movie it's self as well. The Thing 2011 would be that movie more than any other movie. I have never hated a movie before in my life like I hate on this movie. Rancid shitfest from your typical fuckups in Hollywood is all it is. No heart or soul or atmosphere like the Kurt Russell movie had in plentyful supply. At least not IMO anyway. It's style of casting caters for the PC minded crowd as well when it should have gone down the John Carpenter's style of casting as well since it's a prequel to his movie. And that fact seals the movies fate in my eyes more than everything else that's wrong with the movie.

you have some strong emotions about this film.

I watched that one about 2-3 years ago. It's... not for everyone, that's for sure. It's strange, but it's definitely interesting and as disturbing as some of it may be (not really gross disturbing, but... just... lol disturbing), it keeps you waiting to see what's going to happen. You just have to keep watching it. I liked it.

Oh and I'd just like to add that I think Willem Dafoe is one of the most unattractive men on the planet. However, apparently they had to use a stand-in for his dick because his dick was too big to have on screen.

well, it cant be as bad as "sublime"...

and if they didnt use a stunt cock for liam neeson, thats saying a lot for willem dafoe... and yes, i agree he was handed a lashing with the ugly stick :1orglaugh

Scream is the scariest horror ever made. period.

Ooook then... :lurk:

I will still like the movie, but I will not argue with you. Mostly because I haven't seen the original one (I know, I know...), but partly because I don't want to argue.

So, yeah. Carry on!

I don't want to argue with anyone on this Harley. That is the last thing I want. But you can see how much hate this movie brings out in me. I've no problem with you or anyone else liking it. Like it till the end of time for all I care. I can't do anything about anyone else's view so why argue in an attempt to try and change it. It's pointless. Live and let live.

Peace! y'all :)

I don't think it was the greatest movie ever made, but I did enjoy it. My all time favorite movie is Moulin Rouge. Now, go watch that, come back here and let me know what you thought about it, and then we'll talk about taking my pants off. And maybe your pants too.

A-Ha! I not only already have seen Moulin Rouge, I watched it in a theater when it was first released. I didn't hate it, but it's definitely on of those movies most people either love or despise. I actually went to see it because I had hoped it would feature Christina Aguilara running around naked for two hours (it didn't), but it was an interesting film.

Since I won the ultimatum, you now have to watch John Carpenter's "The Thing" (1982), while naked, and then post a review of your experience on this forum. The actual original "The Thing From Another World" (1952) is also a great movie, but let's not get carried away just yet.

Oh and post pictures too, so we know you're not cheating and just read the wiki entry (and more importantly, not naked).

i did look quite some horror before, but after a while it's all the same, just blood and flesh ripped apart, Nah, i prefer porn above this.

Oh I already planned on watching it. I wanted to after I saw the new one, and I also watched this documentary about the making behind all the biggest creatures and monsters in films, and the original Thing was included in that, which made me want to see it. I have it on my Netflix DVD queue, but who knows when it'll arrive. I have a bunch of other movies ahead of it.

I sure hope Netflix gets the show on the road, then. I already took my pants off!!!

You are wise... id watch any commentary on a movie if it was done by harly in a birthday suit

And the 1952 version was famously played in the original halloween. It was the first sci fi movie I ever saw
