Same as swedish....Slalom.
Same as swedish....Slalom.
Time to wrap it up.
Certainly not the best Games of all times. Canada may rejoice in a golden deluge but overall we had a mortal luge track, useless Zambonis, predictably bad weather, questionable decisions in the ice dance, incompetent speed skating starters, etc.
My personal highlighs were Norway's solid record in cross country and biathlon - despite what all the haters say about Northug; Sarka Zahrobska's bronze; the most successful Winter Games ever for Slovakia and two medals for Tina Maze. And the Austrian skiers. :1orglaugh
The audience was great. I don't think Sotchi can emulate the Canucks there. It sure helped that Canada did well medalwise.
All in all it were two fun weeks. Three semi-erected thumbs for Vancouver.

Very cool choice. Pretty much she will be the long-lasting memory of the Olympics, imo...
^^ There were too many crashes on the luge/bobsleigh track even among experienced athletes (Zöggeler, Subkov, Martini). The death of the young guy from Georgia might have been a tragic accident but the track was too hard for an Olympic event. The planners must take into account that less adept runners are more likely to crash. Plus, they had issues with ice quality there too.
So the Americans win the overall medal count and the Canadians earn the most gold medals. That means it all comes down to hockey to decide which team is better.
By the way, that'll be Canada.
And I just read that Rochette has been chosen as the flag bearer for Canada for the Closing Ceremonies. That's a great choice; she is the most inspiring athlete of the games.
Im getting bored of the Winter Olympics , when does it finish?
No, that will USA mens hockey team after they win.
Dear sir,
You've been consistent in your bile against the Canadian team. They just beat your American team.
Please, sir, at your earliest convenience, Suck my gargantuan Canadian balls. You'll know them by the gold they're wearing.
Love,
Dirk.
