:wave2: see you in the BCS :wave2:

Sorry, but there are no excuses again. It was game 1...at a PRO VATECH venue, an entire 6 months for the Hokies to get it done...

BSU wins. Again. :thefinger

People like to complain about Boise only playing about two serious games, and then for some reason look past the huge number of the more prestigious programs out there that try and often do get away with playing maybe about a whole whopping four tough games, and they would probably do even less if they thought they could get away with it. Even in the SEC look at all the teams that never want to play people outside their conference. About the only team I can think of that went out of it's way and was able to actually face a tough schedule in the last decade is USC. At least Boise tries to get harder schedules.

So are Utah, BYU, Wyoming, and Air Force.

Lol. Wyoming.

Oregon is going to play Big, Bad Tennessee this weekend...I suspect they will be taxing that Tennessee ass 20 different ways, son....

68-0 Oregon...:yesyes::surprise: in Knoxville, too....

I can't wait. Fuck Tennessee.

Do you find it a little ridiculous that after 1 game, their entire season is guaranteed?

Yes. Except they'll lose to Oregon State.

I thought you were an USC Trojan.

Is thay why Alabama the last few years has scheduled Virginia Tech, Florida State, Clemson, and Penn State. And Florida has played Miami and Florida State (annually). And LSU has played Virginia Tech, North Carolina, West Virginia, and Washington. So basically these teams all play 1 or 2 tough non-conference game a year. Just like Boise State. Except they all have to play each other annually as well (UF and LSU are guaranteed games despite being in different divisions, of course LSU and Alabama are both in the West, and then Florida ends up playing whichever of the two wins the West in the SEC Championship) as well as all the other tough teams in the SEC.

All I care about is our week one Mano A Mano Death Match :fight:

The results:

You picked Boise State by 10 over VaTech
I picked Boise State by 3 over VaTech
result: Boise State defeated VaTech by 3 points
winner: Bodie

You picked North Carolina by 4 over LSU
I picked LSU over North Carolina by 7
result: LSU defeated North Carolina by 6 points
winner: Bodie

You picked Oregon State by 16 over TCU
I picked TCU over Oregon State by 13
result: TCU defeated Oregon State by 9 points
winner: Bodie

You picked USC by 56 over Hawaii
I picked USC by 18 over Hawaii
result: USC defeated Hawaii by 13 points
winner: Bodie

How ya like ME now, beotch

Care to go again this week? I'll even let you pick the 4 games again. If not I'll understand. It's got to be hard to recover from a whuppin like that :anonymous

And if other schools had any balls Boise State would play them to. the AD at Boise State has said other schools have turned down home and home games because Boise is to good. many coaches would rather have cupcakes for game 1 or 2 so to work out the kinks of the new players joining the team.

No. They are turned down for hoe and home because Ohio State, Florida, Penn St, Michigan, USC, Alabama etc play in front of 100,000, not 30,000.

I was sitting here thinking before I go to bed.You know how all the Tennessee fans are happy they won 50-0 over Tenn.Tech. They are all fired up now and then they read the box score of the team they play next and a see 72-0 :facepalm:Yup that yo ass Mister Postman

That sounds more like a very convenient excuse for them and a huge amount rationalizing to me.

Rationalizing or not, it's just a simple economic reality.

No one who seats over 100k would even think of a home and home with someone who seats 30k.

Now UM did schedule Utah to come play in AA twice but there is no way it would be a home and home. I know it sounds like rationalizing but it is simple common sense.

For example, Boise St and VTech played at a "neutral" field which was effectively a home game for VTech but they were able to get an additional 20k seats over what they would seat in Blacksburgh (appx. 66k). Presumably if there is a return game it will be in another "neutral" site closer to Idaho with similar capacity and t.v. revenue, etc. to make the game worthwhile financially.

Contrast that with say a program which hosts 113k like UM for example. Why would UM agree to a similar arrangement to play at maybe Ford Field when Michigan Stadium seats almost 50k more?? That's ALLOT of fucking money!

Teams like Utah in the past would be glad to schedule a game at UM because they get a ton of money to do so while showcasing their program to a national audience. But in order for it to be equal and large programs to schedule home and homes with them they have to have the facilities to make it worthwhile.

Otherwise, see you in a bowl game Boise St., Utah, BYU, etc. if you can make it:o

ProCombat owns (+).
Unless Boise turns into LSU, this game is over

Penn State is going to get dismantled by Bama next week

you are so right how over it should have been...lets go back to the last 2 minutes of vt and bsu...your team is ahead with 2 minutes on the clock...the other team has no time outs...if im vt..i keep it on the ground...run the play clock all the way down..call time out!..after the punt that would have left hellen keller...just a few seconds..im no bear bryant...but why on gods green earth would you roll back and throw the home run ball and stop the clock to save bsu a extra minute?????are you joking me???..whoever sent that play in should be fired..that alone beat vt ???...sounds like something les miles would do..but hes a idiot.............

we are going to see how good they are now...with that cupcake lineup they got to walk through ...<unless oregon st slides under the door>...chanches are..bama and ohio st is going to trip up..they got a long hard road to travel..but anyone in the top 10 fights into the nc game..helen keller and the smurfs will find out why these teams that seat 100 thousand dont have time for rinky dinks....to good my ass...??? beating vt dont make you the best...now i hope they get in the nc game..i wanna see the look on their faces when they getting smashed 55-0

that dont really tell you a lot...bama could have scored 100 points...but they played everyone with a number...the 3rd string rb scored 2 tds.......they may beat tenn...but before we count them out..lets not forget they was only a fg away from beating bama last year...so they not going to lay down..oregon better bring it...SEC rulzzzzzzzzz

Fuck Boise. Their difficult game is over for the year. I guess now I'll be rooting for Bama and the Bucks to go undefeated. The Broncos won't leapfrog either one of those two.

i would like to see bsu play bama or ohio states schedule..at the end of the year...they would watch bowl games.....but..fact remains..if bama or osu slips up...unless oregon st slips in...and beats bsu...bsu will move up..setting at #2...its going to be hard to tell them no nc game....:dunno:
