That is true but at one thing about it is there is a reason he id at Oklahoma I mean the guys is new to me I have never heard of him to to play for a school like OU is saying something and he seems to be a great QB he is not Colt McCoy but he is getting th job done:hatsoff:

Physically, Landry Jones is everything you want in a QB -- 6'4", 220 lbs, with a very strong arm.

Mentally, who knows. He has shown the ability the run the Sooners fast-paced high-octane offense in the last two games. Also, against BYU, he stepped up pretty well filling in for Sam. It really didn't seem like the pressure got to him, and the new Cowboys stadium is probably the biggest stage in the country.

no kidding. national title game could be almost anyone at this point.

Yes I think it is highly possible that all of the major conferences (translation: BCS) might have champions with 1 loss. If so, and teams like Boise St., TCU or Houston go undefeated....OMG....will these second-tier powers get "Utahed" like last year? Hell yes they will.

That's why the BSC is a complete farce. I appreciate HM's sentiment about the importance of every game under the present system and the corresponding drama it brings to the equation but shouldn't this be about who is proven to be the best team? Although there is no compelling reason to believe that either Utah or Texas would have beaten Florida last year, wouldn't it have been nice for their chances to have been decided on the field of play rather than some fucked-up bullshit combination computer ranking/coaches poll formula? It makes no sense....other than economic perhaps. Damn....sorry guys don't want to go off on my yearly "Fuck the BCS" rant but....it just sucks so bad :D

yes. you make many good points. here is my favourite (and i paraphrase):

few top tier teams will go undefeated this year. because of that, the BCS ranking system sucks. fuck it. it sucks me real good.

Southern Mississippi is way overrated it would seem. They lose tonight to a lousy UAB team that was slaughtered last week by a less-than-good Texas A & M squad. Pathetic.

Colorado continues to suck.....surprise! Can WVU pose a legitimate threat to Cincinnati in the Big East (not dismissing USF either)? They sure looked good tonight.

Bring on the Saturday games!

I don't think Colorado has ever looked more clueless or shitty in their entire existence. I have no idea who Hawk replaced, but maybe they need to call whomever they canned and beg him to come back? Hawkins was a legend at Boise State, and, for some reason, the Boise blue print doesn't translate to Big Boy football. Or, the Hawk left his talent evaluator up in Boise...because the Buffs just look soft and weak... I think some CU alumnus needs to step up and pony up the Hawk's buyout. A change is desperately needed. They might not win in conference this season.

I think the Sooners are making a wise choice. If they were undefeated, then Bradford would be in there. But they already lost and they technically don't need the win. THE U needs the win more. I think OU is making a smart calculation here. Win the conference and get into the BCS. They're on the outside of the BCSNC game at the moment. Now, if they beat THE U, then Big Game Bobby has a decision to make...play Bradford or stick with the hot QB, the other guy?:dunno:

Given that Bradford is out...and given how well THE U has played thus far (all in all)...I think they get the job done..

I wouldn't say Southern Miss is overrated, they played a shitty game. I'm an Eagle and by no means did they look like they came to play.

West Virgina only poses a threat if they can clean up the fumbling issues.
USF always looks good sep-oct and fades in november lets see where they are after turkey day

I don't think OU loses much with Landry Jones. It's not like he's swiss cheese....he was actually rated higher than Jacory Harris (by one spot) as a rivals.com com high school prospect.

Stoops pretty much hit the nail on the head when he said it doesn't really matter who's taking the snaps if the players around the QB don't do what they're supposed to do.

OU needs this win, just as much as Miami needs this win. Both teams still have national title aspirations, so this is a must win. Most likely, there will be a 1 loss team in the National title game, and if OU wins out, they most likely will be that team.

The biggest question about OU isn't the QB, but the O-line. If the O-line plays well, OU wins this game.

Yu said it i was disappointed in the way they played and by the way what is up with Texas A&M they are 3-0 and play Arkansas this weekend which should be a high scoring game but chances are since I just spoke of it,The game won't be high scoring :dunno:

For some reason, people think that Texas just destroyed OU in the Red River Rivalry. That game very close, and OU was leading the entire game until the 4th quarter. Then they blew it like they always do.

What is with this SEC arrogance!? You have one good season and you think you're the shit. At least OU makes it to the BCS games. When was the last time Bama did anything? Try winning something for a change.

one season?? we have 12 national championships here.....and the truth will stand when the world is burning.....one point or 1000....texas beat okl ...on the field.....how the hell can anyone see okl going before texas last year???? okl and usc = daddys boys of the ncaa . if bama lost one game...they would drop out of the top 10...you know it and i know it...but somehow....usc and okl remains in the top 10=daddys boys

so if notre dame beats washington tomorrow and usc later in the season, do they deserve to be ranked?

Certainly. I think they'd be ranked if they beat Washington IMO.
