We played a pretty piss poor game today and still had a chance to win. We will only go as far as our skittish defense will take us.
I must say, I had a sick feeling in my stomach after I saw Desmond Howard sporting green on Gameday????
okay, while notre dame did not look good today, i have two things to say about the game:
1. what a goal line stand - holding them to 3 points was amazing, especially after the bullshit personal foul call
2. though i don't want to be the guy who complains about the officiating, i think there were an inordinate number of calls that went pretty strongly against notre dame. it was like the refs were trying to help washington win.
and can someone explain to me what happened with about 17 seconds left? i thought notre dame intercepted the ball, but when i came back, washington scored a fieldgoal...

It was reviewed and the ball hit the ground.
I was yelling those exact words. I knew damn well that the defense was going to give up a score , so why not just go for it. (On the drive where they decided to kick a FG from the 6 after the delay)
You really have no point to make other than to dump on Oklahoma and USC. :dunno: I can't name all the teams in the Top10 that have lost this season. If you don't comprehend that teams don't continue to move down when they win...well. Good luck against Chatanooga this season. That's about all I got...
i made my point with one of them okl...im so glad they got beat...they robbed texas to be there last year ...looks like daddys boys is done now..good job miami.......
Well that was a rather easy win by SC today. I'm surprised how piss poor Cal played. Nothing went right for them today. I can't really thump my chest and unleas some smack because we couldn't score TDs tonight. Lots of FGs. ABC cut away from the game, so I didn't get a chance to see that glamour score that made it 30 - 3. Cal's defense played good enough to beat us. They couldn't do shit on offense...:eek:
I'm not sure Tedford is going to survive. This was the year for Cal to smell roses and they are probably going to go into a tailspin. I wouldn't be surprised if they run up the white flag on the season....:thefinger: (I hate cal)...

bama can never lose....how can you lose with 16 sec championships 12 national championships we can always hold our heads up high.....the rankings arent out yet.....but i know who gets my vote....how bout yours ??????
USC can lay claim to 11 NCs. You have some "disputed" NCs. Both USC and Bama have 31 bowl victories. Our bowl winning percentage is better than yours. We have more Heismans and more 1st Rd draft picks...and I bet more players drafted in the NFL and certainly more players currently playing in the NFL than Bama...
I think Texas is the best team in the nation. I think Bama is #2 and Florida is #3. I still maintain that South CaroLina Is going to beat Alabama. The Cocks have a defense stout enough to shutdown Bama. Maybe they can kick a couple of FGs and sneak out with a win.

Although I am kind of upset that the wolverines blew it, yes the Wolverines beat themselves, but I am ok with all the spartys rubbing it in & taunting the blue this year.
Why you ask, cuz you all won't be beating the wolverines to much anymore, maybe you'll get lucky again next year. but its not gonna be too much longer until the wolverines return to greatness again, our offense has already improved by leaps and bounds compared to last year, we've already won more games than all of last year, so just wait until Michigan gets a reliable stingy, selfish defense, to match the already dangerous offense.
I declare Michigan will be Scary good either next near or the year after. So lay it on us sparty, brag all you want for another year, rub it in good. cuz after we get good again y'all won't have much bragging to do in the state of Michigan for much longer. :2 cents:

Tough loss!!!
Losing Ryan Broyles in the 1st quarter was huge. He's been our best offensive player this season, and was by far Jones' favorite target. Without him, we were not able to stretch the field. I thought the play calling on offense was a little too conservative, and the play calling on defense was too aggressive. At the end, we still had them were we wanted them... and blew it!
This is the second time my Sooners came to South Florida this year and lost. I actually thought the Canes fans were a little bit more respectful than the Gator fans were last year. It made the loss a little bit more easier. I actually stayed and celebrated with them, which was a little awkward. If we had to lose to any team, I'm glad it was the Canes. They are now the team I'm rooting for to make it to the National title game. Going 3-1 in the first 4 games against 4 top 20 teams has got to say something.
I hate to take anything away from BYU and Miami, but to lose two games by one point with a Heisman trophy winner on the sidelines, you can only say... what if?
