The One and Only Big Daddy
I think the key word for this college football season is SURVIVAL.

Any win is a good win.

They looked like a legit team. I'm not going to give them the SEC title, but it's starting to look like a two team race.

I think I want to jump on your bandwagon that makes a lot of sense there hasn't been a lot of pretty wins so far this season. It seems to be a just win thing going on :hatsoff:Houston number 12 in the polls not bad

As promised: Harris poll :wave2:

Two things:
First, how the hell is Mississippi still ranked in the top 20? They looked complete incompetent against a South Carolina team that is fairly sketchy. Secondly, don't expect Houston to go undefeated, they don't have a great defense. They are weak against the run and they have a date with my Golden Eagles on Halloween. We've got a whole stable of RBs ready to pound the Cougars.

Moving to a trailer in Fife, AL.
Nick Saban just got a phone call from a former asst. coach who is now in the NFL. Someone at Alabama will assume he is trying to leave and will give him another extension, thru 2020.

^Ah..the ol' Charlie Weis FLEECE THE EMPLOYER strategy to be locked into a big extension with a fatass buyout? That sounds like something Satan would do.

The problem....he's a winner whereas Charlie Weis is just a giant blob who eats donuts and looks like Jabba the Hutt.

Charlie this, Charlie that, all the time.
I'm beginning to think thou dost protesteth too much.

Be honest TR: you've actually got a little crush on him, don't you? :lovecoupl

You wanna bet on it? ;)

I have a friend very close to the athletic department at UA, Saban and his family are very happy in Tuscaloosa and barring something unforeseen happening, Saban will coach at Bama until he retires.

Regarding Tebow, I get annoyed at all the coverage he gets, but I hope the kids is ok... he's a tough competitor, and head injuries are difficult to judge.

I really wish I didn't Baill, but as you can see it all adds up.

Poor TR. He had so much potential :(

Now he's going to end up being the filling in a Charlie Weis/Reggie Bush sandwich.

Hate to burst your bubble: Gameday going to Chestnut Hill for FSU/BC :dunno: :wtf:

yeah, I found out an hour after I posted that. I have tickets to the game, but didn't know what time it started until sunday. I was texted it started at 8:00pm and would be broadcasted on ABC. I immediately thought "Oh, that must be where College GameDay will be", but later researched and found out it wasn't.

That sucks because I wanted to go to the show in the morning. Oh, well.

Chestnut Hill??? WTF!!??

USC's Star Running Back Stafon Johnson Injured Today In Weight Room

Thoughts and prayers go out to Stafon Johnson and family....

According to a source with ESPN, USC Trojan's running back Stafon Johnson was injured today in a freak weight room accident. The initial report suggests that Johnson was doing some sort of weight lifting when one of the bars fell or snapped and landed on Johnson's throat. The report also mentioned the fact that Johnson was coughing up blood and bleeding from the nose. Emergency surgery may be needed and his condition at the hospital is "serious."
