Has anyone seen this new stadium? It's fucking awsome!

First ever game is Oklahoma vs. BYU September 5th. Tried to get tickets, but I'm too poor. :(

Hey Jagz, when do the Horns start practice?

My sources say they reported last Friday, July 31. Two-a-days in 100 degree heat. Ugh!!!!

The Big 10 is underrated! Come on, just last year Iowa beat Florida international, Penn St beat Oregon St and coastal Carolina, Wisconsin beat Cal poly, and Michigan beat Miami of Ohio.
Too funny Baill! :rofl2:

Coaches Poll out! Highlights: Ohio State underrated. Florida, Texas, Oklahoma, USC, Alabama overrated.

Maybe I've had too much to drink tonight, but Missouri got 44 votes total and isn't even close to breaking the top 25. North Carolina is rated #20 according to the coach's poll.....which means about as much as my fucking opinion right now.

Preseason polls are typically a joke. College football is the most unpredictable sport I can think of. Print this poll out and compare it to the final poll next January and I think you'll laugh out loud.

I think I had to much to drink and I started seeing Tigers instead of Tarheels my bad I got a little caught up there anyway what is the deal with the all decade team not trying to be a smart ass but could that have waited until 2010:dunno:

But you know what that is a start remember they are still Michigan and will get those big name players that can help this team and by them running a Spread (That sounds weird for Michigan even in year two a Spread Offense so use to them running the I-form)anyway a lot of the kids love that type of play and with the coach they have it will take them far Good luck this season:thumbsup:

Who doesn't love that type of play? It's exciting when you feel like on any given play your team can take it to the house. As bad as it was last year, they had their moments, so you know with the right personnel running the scheme with efficiency it can be really dangerous. I got really tired of the 3 yards and a cloud of dust offense that Michigan was used to (actually, in Carr's last year it was hand it to Hart to go left tackle behind Long.) I have respect for Carr as he ran a clean program and won the '97 national championship, but his last few years his teams were really underachieving.

I agree the offense got boring and they played the power football game which hurt them in the end just a little new blood and they will be fine:thumbsup:The spread is just as good as the people using it Look at Navy and the Wing T

I thought it was interesting that they had last years Texas team instead of the 07/08 LSU team that won the National Championship. That LSU team was the only National Champion that did not make the list.

My question is can that style work in the Mid-west in November? Places like Madison, East Lansing and particularly Champaign get cold and windy.

The Big House is basically a big sunken bowl so maybe it wont affect it that much, but an away game at Illinois or when they come here to C-bus in November, it is not that easy to play that throw it around stuff.

No doubt about it. That's the great thing about Rich Rodriguez's offense, it doesn't need to be either just run or pass oriented. It can be both. When he coached at Tulane and had Shaun King at QB he was throwing the ball all over the place. While at WV, having White and Slaton enabled him to run all day. I have no doubt that he'll be able to tailor the offense depending on the personnel and the situation.

Great thing about this year is that their running game will be the strongest part of their offense with all the returning o-line and RBs. Not only should they be able to keep it close against the PSU's and OSU's on the schedule because of ball control, they'll be able to slowly bring in their freshman QB and not have everything sit on his shoulders.

Confirmed today that the AP preseason poll comes out Saturday, August 22. :2 cents:

Should there be no preseason polls? I'm starting to think that the preseason polls harm the system rather than help it....

I think the polls should come out week five.

Anyone remember Michigan a coupe years ago? :1orglaugh

You must be referencing the App St upset in the Big House. That was great to see.

The preseason polls are strictly for the fans. They serve no purpose other that for people to talk about how great others think their team is, or isn't. I like them for that reason.

Speaking of App.St. Edwards their QB hurt his foot cutting the grass but he should be ready for the season opener :hatsoff:

I think it definitely hurts a team. More often than not a team starting out of, or barely in the top 25 will not be able to overtake a team in the the top 10 if both go undefeated. Even if both lost a game it's tougher for the lower ranked team to make up all that ground.
