i wanna see Ronaldinio do all his freaky indoor soccer moves! have you seen that video clip?!?!?! its insane!

Poll was the English ref.

Collina retired at the start of the Italian season as he had a conflict of interest. He was advertising the company who sponsered AC Milan and was asked to stop by the Italian FA when he refused, he retired. Also he was becoming worse over the past few years anyway.

Pariah! That video plays all the time on ads, on brazilians TV, its a nike ad. Watch it (have tons of videos of him here):

http://www.youtube.com/results?search=ronaldinho&search_type=search_videos&search=Search

Ronaldinho is best player ever, if he plays all his carrer like he is doing he gonna be the best player in all history, but never will recognized as, Pele, Maradona are myths and myths are untouchables. In my opinion, Maradona was better than Pele, but Pele is Pele and was the 1st one and never will recognize Maradona better than Pele. As Ronaldinho is better than both, he just don't make a lot of goals as Pele, cause it isnt his function. In Japan x Brazil he played more like him, in my opinion, was the best player on field, when he left, Brazil lost their ******, start to playing much in the middle field. :)

awesome! i only have Aussie free to air TV. so we dont see any cool ads

i totally disagree you only have to look at pele's achievements and his goal scoring record to see he is twice the player ronaldinho will ever be

this is where i get agitated. Pele is like Bradman, Bradman is the greatest ever batsman to have ever lived, but the quality of the bowling back in his day was poultry compared to now, if Bradman were suddenly pushed forward through time and played against the current cricketers i dont think he'd do very well, back then the pace bowlers bowled at maybe 100kph on average, whilst now, you have Brett Lee who bowls at 140kph on average, and medium pacers bowl maybe 110kph on average. i dont mean to disrespect Sir Donald Bradman but his stats are obsolete to the quality of the game today. i feel the same for Pele, if he were pushed forward through time, he wouldnt do so well. plus Ronaldinho's ball handling skills are second to none, if there were such a thing as a soccer nerd, it would be him.....with respect mind you.....a lot of respect!

well, guys, more interesting than to say who will win the cup, is which team was a surprise, i think that Ecuador played very good against England (both were matched), and USA should have won to Italy, Ghana is still in??

Colombia performance was miserable -if you compare with others cups-, Mexico would have won to Argentina, realy wasnt fair that Argentina went to the next round, Mexico was better, but at least we have the classic Argentina vs Germany

Ronaldo, not Ronaldinho, but Ronaldo scored more than Pele, what so? And a lot of Brazilians players did it too. Score is nothing.

Brazil is win 2-0 on Ghana, but is playing like dumbs. :(
Adriano should be reserve. And Kaka, Emerson and Lúcio are injured. :( Ghana is a stupid fault machines, they dont know how play soccer, just knows about to injure the players.

Colombia wern't even at the tournament.

Ghana are playing brilliantly against Brazil at the moment.

I think Garrincha is the greayest player of all time.

my comment still applies to ronaldo and ronaldo has only scored more than pele in the world cup

which means nothing the defenders in pele's day were in a different league than the overpaid divas of today

You can't compare Ronaldinho and Ronaldo to Pele and Garrincha. Back then all you need was skill, there wasn't a lot of pressure from the opponents and it was a different game. Just watch Brazil play now and watch a game with Pele and you'll noticed it's harder to develope attacks nowadays.

If young Pele and Ronaldinho would have 1 on 1 Ronaldinho would whoop his ass but, luckily for Pele, he is already a legend.

Oh and goal mean nothing since only strikers score a lot, doesnt mean Ronaldo is the best. R. Carlos and Cafu have done 10 times what he has to the team yet they will be lost in the history books.

Ghana just looked a bit lost without Essian...
But Brazil danced around them, and destroyed the off-side trap...

Brasil!

Calm, is exactly that what I said. How many goals a player score means nothing. If do the goalkeeper will get out and substitute by an offensive player. The truth is its harder do a goal today than before, as I said Pele is a myth and legend and is untouchable, Maradona and Ronaldinho are better than him. I didnt said Ronaldo is better than Pele, but Ronaldo score mroe than Pele in Cups and outside the cups, Pele score almost 1060 goals in his career, Ronaldo is almost in 1200.

Ronaldinho didnt score 20% than that, but Ronaldinho isnt a tottally offensive player and he score some beautiful goals and passes than Pele never wonder to do it. The most beautiful Ronaldinho's goals wasnt in Cups and most of then wasnt in Brazil selection.

Brazil win 3-0, but didnt play as they should. Adriano one more time showing deserves to be in the reserve and one more time Parreira doing **** saying to uses short passes, when the brazilian team skills today are for long and unique long passes and just short passes on the offensive area. But, that elimanates the fantasy theory of Ghana beating Brazil huh? Even play half badly did the high score in the 2nd round. Then, come Spain, sorry but the spanish will go home too, they're unlucky to get Brazil on quarters.

well done Ronaldo! fuck the haters :thefinger

Brazil danced? What game did you see? It was another obligatory win without any joy or passion in it.
Germany plays more "Brazilian" than Brazil themselves.

An Italy's fan word -

A penalty we never deserved, a reffing tragedy, a defensive bunker - say what you will, but that's just how we (Italian fans) like it.

All of the hypocrites crawled out of their holes after the sweeter than honey victory of the brave Italian over the repulsive Australians and their Hiddink, but the same people don't understand one thing, we're not arguing with you, you want to bash Italy? By all means, we'll go to the next round and then we'll see who has the last laugh.

Everybody is talking about the penalty done on Grosso but they forget the truly outrageous red card that without it we wouldn't have needed 94 minutes.

Everybody praise Buffon, and don't get me wrong, no one loves him more than I do, but what exactly did he do against Australia? a save and a half? He could play against Ukraine with the same shirt.

Everybody talks because it's convenient, so here's some facts for you:
Although Australia played almost half a game with more players they only had 8 shots, whereas Italy had 11. 4 of those 8 were on target, 2 of those were dangerous (Italy had 6 on target).
You wanted facts, no?

And most importantly, Guus Hiddink, the man and the legend, finally got what he deserved. 4 years we've been waiting, counting the minutes, and finally the happiest moment of all has arrived. Night after night after night we don't fall ****** after that tragedy in Korea that sent us home when we played Hiddink and South Korea; well, the sweet moment of revenge has come in Germany.

Everything went perfectly, as if the night was scripted in advanced. Well, it could have been better if Totti's penalty would have bounced off the crossbar, landed on the line and the ref would give us a goal we didn't earn.

Now we will go on to the quarter finals and then to the semis, just like we like it.

Thas a untrue commentary. Brazilian Soccer is most likely with Spain, Argentina, Italy, Neatherlands and African Teams with the ball in their foot, when Germany is more likely with old european soccer style long and high balls flying away all the field, I dont like that kind of soccer, I respect it, but dont like to watch.

I still saying as I did since the beggining of the cup, the new teams show that could beat all the big teams, played wonderfully in defense (especially Switzerland) and middle-field, but still missing a good offensive, when its time to score the play, they fail. Still trying strongs and longs kicks. (Like Australia, Switzerland, et cetera)

I agree on everything but the last part, Spain will beat France and then lose to Brazil because they are so unlucky!
Along with Germany they were the most impressive team in the group stage (maybe even more impressive because Germany got an easy group whereas they 4-0'd Ukraine and cracked Tunisia's tight defense with a storm of 3 goals) and finally, after so many years, they have a really strong team and, if they beat France, they will be so close to the semi-final which, I think, they hadn't got to since the 50's but damn that luck! they got Brazil!

You just described Ivory Coast.
They have a midfield more creative than most teams, players with amazing skills and, even though they didn't show it, they have a solid defense.
Thing is, they couldn't finish well enough, even though they had Didier Drogba they couldn't finish attacks.
I think it just comes to show us that the gaps in international football are closing down, good teams dont thrash and own smaller teams with crazy scores like 8-0.

Last Cup in Japan I said the Spain in next cup will come stronger and that will be further, they will come stronger and stronger, they have the best world's league, the best world's players is there. Subjectively, I think Brazil, Argentina, Germany and Spain are the strongest teams.

P.S.: Even a Germany doing an excellent and the best cup history this year I think Argentina is better. And more, I cant imagine this Brazil losing to Spain or Argetina, but I can to Germany, their kind of game is like '94 Sweden, and Brazil sucks against that kind of game.

Smaller teams you mean one of the 48 best world's teams with their best soccer player in the counrty, they arent that kind of small. Every team in Cup deserve respect, put a strong league team against anyone of these "smaller" teams and they will win for close or lose.
