I have to admit, I was cheering for Italy, but in 2nd half I change my side to the Aussies. They deserved win the game. If Aussies had a good attack team probably could win to 2, 3-0. Maybe next cup they will improve their attacks. Soccer isnt made by Strong kicks from outside the area, goals are made by well finished plays.

Congrats Aussies, you got out deserving be in quarters. Sad and unfair end.

About the penaulty, I agree, Aussies were robbed. There was no penalty!

OMG i swear to god i want to fukin brake that referees neck, then slit his wrists and throat and let him die in immense pain. He cost Australia a chance of a berth in the top 8 and quite possibly top 4. In Australia one of the broadcasters interviewing a supporter was told on live television that this referee may not live through the night if seen, they are soo fukin pissed off and the whole of Australia is heartbroken, most disgraceful decision in world cup history and i am sure the ref will never referee a national game again. Mark my words, he is a DEAD MAN!

Sorry about this harsh post and its not a personal attack i just need to vent my anger, no words can possibly describe how i am feeling right now, its just Australia have worked so hard for the last 20 years to get a team to the world cup and to compete and it is all taken away by one fukin whistle hungry cock of a fukin Referee! Lucas Neil is a champion.

Is it time for video evidence? I think refereeing is falling way behind in football and critical decisions by referees should not decide games.Footballers should decide games not referees. Its 2002 deja-vu as far as bad refereeing. Games from now on will be tighter and tighter and it seems that players have to play now a days against a team and a referee,and don't get me wrong today both teams have been hard done by the ref but at the end it has been worse for Australia. Well played Australia,better luck and a better ref next time.

Also I have to say from first instance,Lucas Neill decieve me as it seemed when he moved his arm that the held the italian,but on the replay it was never a penalty, the ref was 2 or 3 yards away! What a plonker! Not the first bad game from this ref.in fact refereeing standards in "la liga" is quite shocking!

The problem of TV videos help, rejected by FIFA since world cup in 1998, is not every game will have it, thats unfair. But, I think the World Cups should have this option. It cost nothing put a phone in the ref ear to hear what an auxiliar see in the videos replays, will reduce the error like that in decisions games.

Australia got screwed, that was anything BUT a penalty.

Yesterday, Holland was the better team but Portugal had better actors (Figo). The ref was horrible. Not every foul is a yellow card. The only big foul was Boulahrouz's first.

I think they've played 15 minutes in total in the 2nd half.

Considering it was a warzone 15 minutes isnt that bad. in Italy some games you play 25 minutes out of 45 and thats without pulling out 4 red cards.

That has to be the worst game of football so far in this world cup. In fact it's the most boring game I have seen....ever. Not even a penalty shootout could add tension to the game. Switzerland couldn't even score from the spot...WTF!

ESPN Brasil said on Ukraine x Switzerland: "Its very strange that the ref level were so good in the first round, when it has a lot of unexperients refs in international games and in the finals rounds when just the elite refs stay there is so many troubles, misunderstandings and erros. For me it looks more like robbish and corruption, like the penalty against teh Aussies!"

About Ukraine x Switzerland, I thinok was a poor game, too much effort and will and less abilities, again as I said, good game but still missing a experienced play o the front. Shevchenko didnt play well today. And the ref, turn it into a game full of violence when he didnt use the cards as he should.

Yep, it was! In the extra time I was praying for a penalty shoot out for get some action on the game, better then wait 120 minutes for one goal.
