What a cup nonetheless. I watched probably 90% of the games live, and despite the cards, nearly all of the games were entertaining.

Italy HAD TO WIN tonight to try and save their football.
You can't blame it on the players though, it was the management, the players are great, the best in the world, and they have to suffer because of politics and poor management.

Congrats to Italy!

They had the best defense during that world cup in the end. Cannavaro, Gattuso and Buffon saved them. But with de Rossi they had also one of the most unfair players.
I congratulate, but that won't change my opinion about italian football players.
Zidane: no comment!
Poor France: they played a great match, but it was ruined by their own playmaker! What a finish!

And btw, he has done something stupid before (1998 against Saudi Arabia).

As for this game. I think the 1st hald was for Italy, second half and extra time for France, and the penalties for Italy.

Seriously though, despite the headbutt he will still go down as the best player I've seen since Maradona. 2 goals in a World cup final, one of the best goals I've ever seen in a European cup final, the amazing performances in the 2000 European championships and thats not even including this World cup.

One of the best individual performances I have ever seen vs Brazil and the best penalty I've ever seen ever - World cup final, against an awesome Goalkeeper and he chips it off the bar. :1orglaugh
