Haha, but really. Mick is a good friend of mine. (a platonic friend, you dirty fuckers... and yes, that is possible). I voted for ECW even though I'm not a die-hard wrestling fan but just hearing Mick tell his own stories it sounded like ECW was where it's at in terms of excitement.

Heyman was a master at accenting his talent's strengths and hiding their weaknesses. Look at Public Enemy : exciting in ECW, rubbish everywhere else. He also knew how to do a long-term build for a match while still keeping the fans interested i.e. Taz vs Sabu. Unfortunately he wasn't the best bookkeeper and had habits of breaking promises, not calling the talent back and having to fly by the seat of his pants because sometimes he didn't know what he was supposed to be doing. Jericho makes him sound scatter-brained. ECW was also a haven for substance abuse and many of the guys that walked through their doors have either needed rehab, died from complications caused by their problems, or killed themselves.
Interestingly, TNA has been going longer than ECW ran for, but I doubt they will be considered to have left the same mark when they wrap up. Which will be in the next 12 months, I feel.

Mr_Stiffy u r a wrestling god great points on your haymen take. also about tna all it will be remember for is how long it lasted and where it failed, ie(when hogan thought it could compete on mondays bold yet dumb ass move) but i will say im still a fan but the show its just painful to watch... wwe on the other had raw this past week had its best show of the year in by show mean the matches, not the hollywood shit...

Sorry, I thought that was covered in "wasn't the best bookkeeper" and "breaking promises." A hell of a lot of the guys never got the money owed them at the point of ECWs liquidation and Rob Van Dam has said in the past he worked Guilty As Charged 2001 mostly out of loyalty knowing full well he'd probably never get paid for it. Paul E took his eye off the ball trying (and failing) to negotiate a new TV deal. If he'd split the key responsibilities between a few other people he wouldn't have ended up in such a mess, but just as only Paul Heyman would trust Paul Heyman, the only guy he thought he could trust was himself.
Mind you, I went to a show not all that long ago that was delayed about an hour and it was due to the wrestlers not receiving their full pay because the promoter simply didn't have it. Some of the guys went on having received some money, some wrestled for free because they didn't want disappointed fans. Said wrestlers never did get paid afterwards. The crooked indy promoter (or more often the simpleton that is over ambitious and has ideas above his station) is still alive.
Yeah, I think so. I have friends that have been bashing the current output for years and haven't paid for a PPV for longer, but they're gearing up to pay for The Network on account of all the old stuff you'll have access to. I'll consider buying it myself when it's brought over here if I ever get a new TV I can hook my laptop up to. Although I'll probably just end up watching War Games '92 on a loop.

Fun Hogan fact - I was in attendance for (as it stands) his last match, on the TNA house show tour of Britain in January 2012. Well, fun for me.

CANNOT wait to see 'Taker tonight. I am hoping that they do not put him against Lesnar at Mania. For what I believe will probably be it for him, I dont want that dickhead to be the one who gets to be the last to Rest In Peace... I have been a fan of Undertaker since Day 1. I am also, not one of the WWE bashers thinking that this WrestleMania is shaping up to be poop. I do however hope that Daniel Bryan gets nowhere near the main event, and as much as I supported him, I hope that if Punk does ever come back (which I dont think he will) that he doesnt main event either. Bryan should take on Triple H... I cannot wait to see if this Raw stacks up as good as the projections make it seem.

I want him to help grow Roman Reigns, Taker should still get the win, but have RR look strong, get takers "respect" and set him on a course to be a big babyface. I think Lesnar is a menace in the ring. I wish WWE would STOP resigning him for 12 dates or so... and he could go back to fighting or football or Sable or whatever he wants to try now.
