Given that one of the worst periods in American history (segregation) was flourishing prior to that decision, you might want to be rethinking the idea that health of a society is determined by whether or not the state can force school children to recite utter horseshit every morning in school.

Actually yes. Thinking thoughts that make you feel good despite proof is similar to being drunk.

Forming strong bonds with people just as drunk or drunker than you is the same. This is why there aren't groups that go around worshiping gravity and having mixers at the Church of our Holy Lord and Father Gravity. Gravity is there; if you wanna test it you're free to do so but there isn't any reason to organize because it doesn't need to be supported in order to exist.

Imo it's a cult mentality. Those within a group are more closely bonded because they perceive themselves and their leadership on the "right" side of things. Those outside that circle are the "enemy". Like a war soldier going through battle with people they create a strong bond; through mental attachments and favoritism.

Because that's cheating, that's the easy way out. Besides no one ever said you shouldn't live life to it's fullest, make the most of every day.

The afterlife has to be earned even though we all die anyways? So basically life is a 9 to 5 job and if you punch out early you get no pay and are fired. But if you suffer through you get your SS.

I'm not saying it has to be earned. It just strikes me as cheating if you commit suicide that's all. Do your best to live this life to the fullest.
