The secret ingredient? MY BALLS

I don't understand why so many people are giving McNabb all sorts of shit for this. When I played football, I didn't know every single rule. There are literally thousands and thousands of individual rules that are set in stone when it comes to sports, especially football, so I don't think people should be giving McNabb so much shit for this.

They just want a reason to be mad at their team for not beating the Cincinnati Bengals and they think that blaming McNabb for his "stupidity" is the best way to relieve their anger. When, in a state of major hypocrisy, I bet that 99% of these fans who choose to be mad about this don't even know 1/10th of the rules that the NFL enforces.

He gets paid millions of dollars to win football games. This is a pretty fundamental rule he needs to understand. It's not some esoteric or obscure rule like what the "tuck rule" used to be. It's about wether a team WINS a game or not.

No one (outside of Philly anyway) is arguing this was the ONLY reason they lost or even an important reason they lost - they clearly played horribly. Any Eagles fan that thinks this should have been the headline coming out of that game is an idiot. McNabb has been playing terribly and Andy Reid is clearly a bad head coach - horrible challenges, weak running game, bad playcalling and especially end-of-game clock management.

They need to blow up the team and start over, including firing Andy Reid and turning the page at QB.

Yes, he does get paid millions upon millions of dollar...but he still does other stupid things like throw dumb interceptions, fumble the ball, mis-manage the time clock, etc. Just because he gets paid a huge amount of money doesn't mean he'll never make a stupid mistake.

He (and other countless other players) have so much to study, practice and perfect that some once-in-a-lifetime overtime situation isn't something that will ever cross their mind. So, I don't blame him for not knowing that you could tie in OT during the regular season.

PS - GO BROWNIES!!!

Generally Andy Reid is a all around good couch, or at least more good than bad. The Eagles are usually in contention and they draft well. It's just for some reason he will occasionally make some stupid in game decisions that are hard to understand, and that might very well cost his team. Like last week where he went for two running plays on 3rd and 4th down on their last series when their running game was getting shut down all day. Late game clock management and deciding when to challenge are also not his strong suits.

Murder!! The Browns win on a 56-yard FG from Dawson to squeeze by the Bills. Plus the Bills lost Greer at CB with a pretty major injury(undisclosed). It gets worse. The Bills have the next two games against weak opponents but they close out the season with three inter-divisional matches and one inter-conference road game. Are the Brownies on the move? Nope. They finish the season with road games at Pitt, Phily and Tennessee. Plus a homer against Indy.

Cleveland should have blown them out with all those Bills turnovers.

Good too see Quinn get that first W out of the way.

Also good to see Braylon Edwards catch a ball ;)

That's how it ended. OK, but does it increase or decrease they playoff chances?

Eagles will never make the playoffs even if they did win that game, with the Giants,Skins and Cowboys in their Division they have no chance- a shame because they are all good sides

Should be easy for the Steelers tonight

They should win. Both teams suck at the run. But the Bengals pretty much suck at everything. Chad Whatever-His-Name-Is is out tonight for a rules infraction. Don't know if that matters since they're 30th in the league in passing. They're hurt on defense and O-line. I really don't see the Bengals scoring in double figures.

Wish I was more interested in football. Chef told me the other day that my Jets are tops in their division at 7-3. Maybe I should keep not paying attention and they'll win the Super Bowl. :dunno:

Meanwhile, if I want to watch quality football, I've got a better chance flipping on the arena league than the Packers. If I was still in Jersey I could enjoy watching the Jets and the 9-1 Giants each week. :(

Should be easy for the Steelers tonight, sure, but how much longer can Big Ben hold onto the ball in the pocket for? He must average 4 seconds per snap. He's so unwilling to throw the ball away that he forces too many passes into well covered WRs and gets sacked more than David Carr did in Houston.

Tonight is a joke though. Pittsburgh 24, Cincy 6.

I disagree, Steelers do have it easy but watch out for Beangals, they have improved on there left and right sides of the ball, the Middle is where the Steelers will have the best chance. If Rothlesburger doesn't step up into the pocket he will have a long night, also he should avoid the pump fakes early in the game. They have to stay active or the defence of line will get to the ball. Cincinatii will run slants and post most of the time. On second and third they will try to go long. They will start off running the ball.
Then go for a short complete to there tight end on the far side. I also agree with you tony, but if everything goes as planned it should be interesting to see what will happen next.

The only chance the Bungles have now is to hope they forse a tie in every game they play. Bye bye Marvin Lewis. How bout the hit on Santonio Holmes.:spin: Chris Crocker of leave Britney alone fame, shows that he/she isnt a pansy with that hit.

I still think the Steelers could win the superbowl- awesome D and once they get the running game sorted they should be hard to beat/ they are already hard to beat but you know what i mean guys
