I wish they could find a reasonable and logical playoff system to determine a national champion!
NCAA football is the only sport I know of that they have never been able to figure out a way to determine a unquestioned without a doubt legitimate national champion?
suggestion! instead of waiting a entire month between conference championship games and the bowl season, have all the teams play according to there rankng, # 1 would play the lowest ranked team, # 2 would play the 2nd lowest ranked team and repeat all the way down the line.
then all the pretenders would be eliminated and all the remaining teams get the rest of the bowl spots and the 2 highest ranked teams remaining after the 1st round of elimination games should play for the national championship?
I think that would be better than some of the mis-matched bowl games we get stuck watching, and it would hopefully eliminate's the injustice done too a team that deserves to play for the championship, but doesn't get selected to play in the championship game! just some food for thought.

oregon state won by running the ball right up the middle all night long. i watched the game oregon state could have scored 2 other times but they made some bad calls and usc can defend. this game was amazing and i'm so glad that espn had it. i suspect as long as oklahoma wins they will be number one

These annual chokejob losses are insufferable. Why can't you coach a team for an entire season? WHY DAMMIT? Oregon State ruined our season 2 years ago! Did you really forget that so soon? What were you doing all week? You had 11 days to prep for this game! It's not like this was the tail end of a 5 game gauntlet...and it's not like our football players are "busy with their school work"...

I never want to see Joe McNight (#4) play again. He has been a massive bust "masquerading" as a "future Reggie Bush" stud. Yeah. That about sums him up. He has a fumble problem and he can't read a fucking blocking hole. If "competition" is so sacred at USC than Joe McKnight needs to head to the bottom of the RB Line. I better not see him on the field for weeks or there is no competition and Pete Carroll, you are nothing more than a slick oil salesman and you do nothing more than create a list of "favored, untouchable" players....Joe McKnight is garbage. Bench him now.

titsrock, I thought you were alittle harsh on your team. Yea there's no reason why they should have lost that game but I guess thats what happends when you 18 year old athletes having to handle the pressure and hype. Atleast everybody thought USC would surely handle it this year with that great defense of theirs. Oh well really sucks for the trojans. I was really pissed too btw. I still cant believe that shitty game. However I am still standing by my USC vs Florida prediction in the Natl' championship game. It's not looking good now though. Go Gators! Hope USC gets their shit together.

jasonz the usc defense is mostly jr's and sr's same with the ofensive skill players so really it was the 20 and 21 yr olds who have played on the big stage and who are supposed to be leaders that failed. joe mcnight did look that bad during the game i think benching him would be a good idea. looks like the big 12 or the sec will produce the bcs championship game but we have lots of time before then

After watching their game against Miami I figured they'd lose a couple of games, but I didn't think they'd start so soon lol
First USC, now Florida. By the end of the season it's very possible that like last year there won't be any unbeatens from the major conferences.
3 of the top 5 teams are going to fall this week? (assuming alabama holds on) Rankings before the teams have played a single game is silly.
