I'm here to enquire about your spooons...

Well I agree that one of those plays was giving by the refs. The block in the back on the punt return. Don't know how they missed that call. It really doesn't matter, the score is no indication of how big of a blowout the game was.

The SEC office admitted this week that the punt return should have been called back for TWO blocks in the back. At least it didn't decide the game...

With the way the last two seasons have been, no one is safe from week to week. UK has a solid defense and could easily pull an upset against Bama this Saturday if Bama doesn't come to play.

Yea, your exactly right. You never know. I just hope my Gators show up for the LSU game or were in trouble. We have got to get it fucking together.

I think they will... most well coached teams show up for big games, and UF is no exception. It's playing well even when you are expected to win that can be a problem, e.g. UF v OM last weekend, OSU v USC last week, or possibly Bama v UK this weekend, but I hope not!

You gotta give the oddsmakers credit. Sometimes they really nail it on the head. Ohio State squeezes by Wisconsin 17-14 with the Bucks as 1 1/2 point faves before the game. The stats at the end were weirdly almost dead even. Here we had two pathetically mediocre teams that are practically the same in talent, and someone had to win. I admit it, though...I'm just pissed off because I lost $60 betting on the Badgers. :(

never bet on the badgers. i lived ther from 2001-2006 they tease you with a great start and then they hit a bump and loose one or two and then win some more ending up with 8-11 wins and griping about the bowl game they are in. i learned to never trust the badgers they always do well in sep. oct is usally a different story

Well this week there weren't many upsets other than the Auburn-Vandy game. Game was kinda how I expected it to be, Auburn showed how bad their offense continues to play and Vandy won like they have won all year with their solid defense. That Bama game was certainly closer than most bama fans would have liked it but want can you expect when your playing another SEC team? As for my Gators we looked dismal all over the board. The only good thing was that Rainey and Demps are starting to get it going. Injuries have been the problem for us and hopefully we will have a buch of guys back for the tough LSU game. Atleast LSU does not have a explosive offense this year. AS long as Tebow and our recievers our on page we should be fine that's where it starts and ends for us. Go Gators!

Yea I agree.. This week was lacking good games. Next week will be much more exciting.

The Spartan Pit: News From East Lansing:

--The Spartan Army penetrated the AP Poll Top 25 for the first time in 3 years, debuting at No. 21. Coach Mark Dantonio cautioned that the upcoming game at Northwestern can't be overlooked, however, since the improved Wildcats are undefeated and coming off a win over Iowa of their own. Said Dantonio: "We've come this far, and we will not be defeated. No surrender! No mercy! WE ARE SPARTANS !!" After which he kicked MSU mascot Sparty into the campus "Well Of No Return."
--Concern over DB Chris Rucker's arm injury is overblown according to team officials. Secondary coach Harlon Barnett assured the media that the injury was not "season ending" and that Rucker could be available for the October 18 meeting with No. 12 Ohio State, adding, "in any case, we have reliable second stringers as well as soda pop vendors who are capable of taking on the Buckeye offense."
--In other defensive news, Spartan linebackers have been making headlines with their aggressive play and hard hitting. In particular junior Adam Decker whose 4th and 1 stop of Iowa RB Shonn Greene sealed the win in Saturday's game. Said Decker, "We're a close-knit group of players whose philosophy includes hard work, practice, and the use of [sexual toys] during scrimmages [sex]."
--Finally, three cheers to the fans at Spartan Stadium. For the fourth time this season NO guns were found on spectators passing through the metal detectors. Said athletic director Clarence Underwood: "We are proud here of our students and fans for not threatening the safety and lives of any of our other students or fans. And may that trend continue in Ann Arbor."
