I wonder if it's just getting harder for teams to go undefeated in college football. Maybe it's just one of those things that will pass, or maybe everybody is getting better where even the second tier teams and sometimes even the bad teams are now good enough they can win due to the "any given Sunday" effect.

What a bad fucking weekend for my fav. teams. First USC losses thursday night, now My gators fall to Olemiss. There is no fucking excuse for that loss. It comes down to the fact that we played like shit, period. Atleast we can re-group and since were in the SEC we still got a shot this year. How bout Bama?? They are the real deal. Enough. Ww must have a play-off system especially for the SEC sake. I damn tired of seeing Oklahoma playing no one, while the SEC beats up on each other. Go Gators

Hello Sexy girl how your Toes doing?
Anybody can beat anybody on any given saturday! oh yeah, make that thursday night as well! sheesh!! UNBELIEVABLE!! I still can't believe it and I watched it happen with my own eye's!!

#1 team in the land, (USC) falls to unranked 1 - 2 (oregon st.) :thefinger

the Gators lose @ HOME to an unranked Ole' Miss.

the Bulldogs get embarrassed by bama @ home!

:rofl2: even my unranked rebuilding WOLVERINES pulled off an upset of the 9th ranked Wisconsin Badgers, the game was the (500th game played in the history of the BIG HOUSE) also note worthy, it was the 2nd greatest comeback victory in MICHIGAN FOOTBALL history!! 19 - 0 @ halftime!

I can't wait to see the updated polls later today!!

Trojans Lubricated: News From The USC Locker Room

--Following USC's loss to perennial powerhouse and unranked Oregon State, Trojan coach Pete Carroll issued a challenge to O State head Mike Riley: You might have beaten us on the gridiron, but let's see you beat me at badminton!
--Injured CB Shareece Wright missed the game against the Beavers but appears up to the challenge against Oregon next Saturday night. Said Wright: "I'm looking forward to getting back in there and giving those Ducks a good game." When asked how his absence might have affected the outcome of the game against Oregon State, Wright commented: "I'm sure more than one of [his teammates] have been beaten by Beavers in the past."
--Coach Carroll plans to give his young and inexperienced O line extra reps this week in preparation for the Pac 10 schedule. Some of the new devices being used include tying stacks of tree branches to the players' backs and timing them as they attempt to build dams.
--Finally, the annual "SoCal Beach Bash" is still on for next Friday and will be attended by former USC running back Marcus Allen and governor Arnold Shwarzenegger, who commented: " I hope this celebration will show our support for the great USC Spartan football program."

d-rock it's likely to stay this way for awhile. i think it's do to more kids going to places with a Chance to play sooner and with more tv even smaller schools have a Chance to been seen.
well the big 10 has penn state and that offense looks real good

Nikkala made me do it!
All I have to say s ROLL TIDE!

I could not believe how Saban took that team into Athens and dominated the Dawgs. I enjoyed it thoroughly :D

Also, before the season started, I thought Ole Miss would be pretty good, and they are proving me right.

How in the hell is USC still considered top 10 material?

Not that it matters but I'm in favor of USC benching Joe McKnight. He's completely overrated, and I am worried that he gets playing time because Coach Carroll promised him starting PT at the expense of the other guys (and "competition" for that matter).....McKnight needs to sit on the bench for the next game and start at the bottom rung of the competition ladder.

With all the upsets this week....well, this was not a bad weekend to be the #1 team in the nation and lose. I am still shocked with the EASE in which Bama pounded Georgia. WTF was that? So much for the black jerseys...

Yea. I am really glad There were a good amount of upsets since my 2 fav. schools lost- Florida and USC. It makes their up sets not so bad even though they were the biggest of the week, just my luck. I can already hear all the bama fans saying they are national championship material. Hell the way they played saturday night helps their chances. They still got a long road of ahead of them in a Brutal SEC schedule not to mention that they have never beaten the school down the road in tuscaloosa ever in the history of the rivarly. Wow. I am glad I am not involved in that rivalry anymore. Hard to argue with a bama fan when all they got to do is say 12 and its over. lol.. Na. I much rather argue with a FSU fan since we have gotten the last Natl' championship, plus we did own them in 1996 championship game.

I wouldn't get too excited. Bama gave up 30 in the 2nd half.

Um, the game was over, and if you watched the game, at least 2 of those scored were greatly "assisted" by the refs... The outcome of the game was not in question after the first drive.

^^
But if we have learned anything this season...it is Bama's next opponent which faces a pretty decent chance to hanging a loss on them.

I think the Alabama turnaround is progressing very nicely for them. I do question the ability of their QB--he seems like a mediocre player and maybe if they get in a close game, he'll falter.

He is definitely streaky in his career... I think that's why you see the new OC this year limiting his throws a big, establishing a running game, and it's working so far... he's only turned the ball over once in 5 games and made the throws when he's had to.

BTW, not that it means much in this modern era, but Wison is the all time leader in pass yards at Alabama. Not saying he's the second coming of Joe Namath, but he's not terrible for sure.

Yea, shows you how much one year can make a difference. I think he has done a very good job so far mananging his team. That's all Bama has needed him to do so far this year. The big surprise for me is the Alabama defense. They are a pretty young group yet they have been playing excellent. They basically shut down the really good clemson defense and also did pretty well against Georgia. I can't wait to see the battle between the trenches between Auburn's good defensive line against Alabama's O-line. How great of a match up will that be?
