I just asked if you thought that it may have had some affect on you, or contributed to this racial kick that you are obviously on. You say it did not. I'm fine with that. As for asking me about the KKK or the neo Nazi movement, I think that would be a perfectly legitimate question... if I demonstrated the same obsession with race that you appear to have. As far as my experience, I hear Chicago is a pretty racist place, and all the brothers that migrated to Minneapolis from Milwaukee, Chicago and Detroit apparently say those are all quite "racist" places (to an extent), or at least have a lot of de facto segregation.
All I can say is the Twin Cities has a shitload of de facto segregation as well, evident in the white flight that has literally changed some of the neighborhoods over that way an entirely different place from just 30 or so years ago. That said, I probably live in one of the most liberal neighborhoods in the area, and quite a few of the Caucasians are very much progresive.
The East Coast is an entirely different scene, but from what I understand there is some light balkanization going on in places like Boston and New York. People just tend to flock together with likeminded people, but there for sure are quite a few more diverse clicks out there now than there ever have been before. :dunno:
