Basically it was a hate group designed to kill and harass the Indian population of New Jersey which was growing in the 1980s. Some say the group is still around today in smaller towns of New Jersey.

well, that was 20-30 years ago and 'some say' doesn't really advance the cause of NJ being a hotbed of anti-Indian Racism today .. I'm not saying there are not Indian haters in NJ, just that I have never experienced or wtinessed any overt racism there myself to any ethnic group.

I have not been exposed to the caste system and quite racist for you to assume I have been because I am Indian.

Since there is a caste system in India and you are Indian (whether you were born there or born here)... tell me again why you think that was a racist question? My friend, I have worked with a LOT of Indians over the years. And from what some of them told me, the caste system, though it didn't necessarily follow them to the U.S., DID have an affect on how they viewed themselves and other groups (especially in social situations). Since you obviously have an obsession with race and ethnicity, I simply wondered if that might be part of the basis for that obsession. Something is causing it. If not that, then what might it be??? :dunno:

But back to the OP... before you condemn New Jersey and praise the south, take a trip to Pulaski, Tennessee during their annual KKK celebration. Take your "foreign looking", White, Puerto Rican girlfriend with you... and as long as you escape town before night fall, you'll be able to tell the board about your "revised views" on the matter.

The other guy was implying that Italians have that stereotypical dark features look, I am saying that look is rather odd among Italians and most look like any typical European.

and the other guy is right.
of course some italians have light hair, eyes, skin but even with that they still have physical traits characteristic of italians.

like i said i can pretty much detect a white persons ancestry just by looking at them unless theyre very mixed.
just by looking at their facial features.
when i worked in edison i could spot a pole in a heartbeat.

it seems to you that all white people from european descent just look european to you, and thats fine.
maybe because youre indian.
just like all orientals look oriental to me, i cant tell a chinese from a korean, but they sure the hell can.

and btw, i'm italian/german from new jersey, both parents born and raised in down neck newark, and the last hundred or so girls ive dated or just fucked are colombian.

You assumed that just because I was Indian I went by the system, as an Indian myself I am unfamiliar with it because, guess why?

I didn't really spend much time in India.

As for dating, I am generally not into White girls but as I said, darker ones or ones with darker features are exceptions.

As for NJ, I try to hold the state to a higher standard since the people there hold it to a higher standard. Everyone wants to bash the south but I am just saying I found it to be a lot less racist than the north in many cases.

I'm not aware that the people of NJ hold it to a higher standard than any other state's citizens hold their states. In fact, most of the time that I've heard anything about NJ, someone is making a joke or making fun of it. From Joe Piscopo on SNL in the 80's to The Sopranos, Jersey Shore and Jerseylicious more recently... NJ has been the butt of jokes for many, many years. NJ has to live in the shadow of New York. I guess that's kinda like being the little brother of the big man on campus. Couldn't be easy...

Given your ethnicity, whether you're in the north or the south, if you happen to be in the wrong place at the wrong time around the wrong group of people, you may have a problem. That's just life. Unless you want to pull up some "hate crime stats" or something more meaningful than anecdotal stories, I'm just unaware of NJ being any worse or any better than the average southern town as far as racism against Indians is concerned.

I'm from NJ and I'd say it's worse than your average southern town when it comes to racism but not against Indians. He is citing incidents that happened over 2 decades ago in basically a 1 year time frame. In the end, he's got a lot of hatred for White people and he's projecting that onto Whites. I grew up with a lot of Indian kids and I never saw or heard them complain of discrimination, particularly violence. I saw a lot more attacks on Whites and Asians than anything else.

As for who gets victimized the most by White people? I'd say illegal immigrants.

The reason why places like NJ, California and Texas have so many hate groups per capita is because it's very diverse and very crowded. There's a lot of tension and segregation for such a small state.

See where I am going with this? Of course you may not be White but assuming you were, how would you like it if I automatically assumed you were a member of the KKK since the KKK is a White organization meant to discriminate. All Whites are not believers in White supremacy and not all Whites are Neo-Nazis or KKK members, just like that, not all Indians worship the caste system and not all Indians are even aware of it. I recently found out that my family was "Brahmin".
