Another thing about these politicians; if the only way you have to defend them is to attack someone else are they really worth defending and sticking your neck out for?
No, guns are not the problem. In the 40's you could buy an M1Garand, semi auto rifle, it held 8 rounds and could be reloaded in a nano second. You could also buy an M1 carbine semi auto, that was fed by 20 or 30 round magazines. In the mid to late 50's, the M14 came along, the civilian model is the M1A, it was fed by 10 or 20 round magazines, and was semi auto. After that came the M16, and the civilian AR15, semi auto, 20 or 30 round box magazines. All of these weapons have been available for civilian purchase for DECADES, yet we rarely had this types of crimes. The guns didn't do it by themselves. The guns have no free will. They are merely a tool, and in the hands of some people, perfectly harmless, in others, very harmful. You don't blame the car, when a drunk driver gets behind the wheel. I also doubt many of the people who scream for gun control take into consideration that all they're going to end up doing, is giving criminals another way to make money. You would be pathetically naïve to believe that criminals still won't get guns. They get them now. Weapons and explosive devices are stolen from military armories, and corrupt boarder agents on both sides allow contraband of all types to pass through. Just because the news tells you an AR15 was bought legally, doesn't mean that the shooter bought it. You get only the information the news wants you to get. If the gun was legally bought, and resold, then that in it self is a crime, it's called a straw purchase. If you ban the sale of anything, someone will find away. Drugs are illegal. Booze used to be. They thrived, and made a fortune for violent criminals, as guns will if banned. Of course no one wants to blame people, they have the ability to point out flaws, a gun just sits there doing nothing, until it's picked up. Personally I think all gun crime should be punished at the federal level, and all of this pussy bullshit about defunding the police, and bail reform tossed out. If a 12 year old kid has the balls to pick up a gun and rob a corner store, he should be put into a big boy prison for a minimum of 20 years, if he pulls the trigger, make it 30, and if someone dies, he should be executed within 2 years of being found guilty. He gets his one mandatory appeal, and that's it. Criminals need to be punished, law abiding citizens should not. If an asshole goes out and drives 90 mph down the freeway, you don't restrict him to only owning 4 cylinder cars. And lawful gun owners should not have any of there rights taken away, as the first option. maybe the break down of society is the problem. Maybe it's just evil people. All I know is, guns aren't going to go away, and even if the left gets their way, it won't fix it. Maybe it's time to start putting the filth that runs rampant on our streets locked up, and all of these people who need work, can build the prisons to put them all in. By the way, if a person lies on the form to purchase that firearm, they are already a criminal, who is excluded from owning that gun, like Hunter Biden did, and although I don't have the article, I did hear somewhere that the trans shooter from a couple of days ago lied on it's form to
I wouldn't call that blame. I also don't agree with it. I also see nothing but trouble coming from it, whether it be civil liberties, or outrageous additional costs, or just plain and simple, a pain in the ass that will cost owners an arm and a leg to repair, and a potential gateway to information unrelated to it's task. Mainly because the government can't and shouldn't be trusted.
I remember Seat belt interlocks. They lasted one year.I wouldn't call that blame. I also don't agree with it. I agree with you. Mass shootings and gang violence are distinctly different.I know none of you anti gun people will agree, but I don't care how many are hurt or killed, gang violence should not be included in mass shooting statistics, nor should drive byes.

So the gun was useless because he's dead. If he didn't have a gun, maybe he'd still be alive.
The statistics are easily obtained so there is no need to rely on media or politicians. The one who should be most afraid of gun violence is the gun owner. Over half of the gun deaths in the US are suicides. Gun possessors are the cause of all gun deaths regardless of how they are classified (i.e., suicide, mass shooting, gang related, domestic violence, etc.). As noted above, mass shootings and gang-related shootings have different roots for the most part.If the media and politicians are allowed to combine the numbers which include gang violence into their gun violence statistics they can make us more fearful sending our kids to school or going to the supermarket making us believe we are in more danger than we are. Gang Violence contributes a high percentage toward their gun violence statistics but that violence is more contained in certain areas and does not spread out too often. In the area I live in I created a term called "Weapons Of Opportunity Violence" which has been mainly perpetrated by deranged hobos hopped up on meth weaponizing anything they find on the ground.
No, it means now that he's dead, you can take his gun. But I see what you did there, I guess the spin doctors over at CNN have taught you well.So the gun was useless because he's dead. If he didn't have a gun, maybe he'd still be alive.

Maybe it was useful. So the gun was useless because he's dead. If he didn't have a gun, maybe he'd still be alive.
I'll leave your fears up to you.Should I be afraid of my own guns or my own reflection?
