Today marks my 2 year- post arthroscopic decompression shoulder surgery with a bicep tear, rotator cuff tear, slap tear & a dislocation
I can finally say that it took me 2 years of to have my shoulder fully recovered ... & even STRONGER with better mobility/stability than before.
This injury had taught me the importance of recovery, rehab, mobility work, strength work around the smaller muscle groups & most importantly LISTENING to my body.
As athletes, injuries will always occur no matter it’s severity. What’s most important is the actions you put towards that recovery so you can get back stronger.

coachriri WEEK 7 OF PREP COMPLETED
WHAT I NOTICED:
These past 3 weeks have been tough to deal with which I haven’t posted on. Lost motivation and forgot the reason why I was doing this. Grateful for my coach @plaja11 who’s been soo helpful with my challenges and motivating me!!
The good: nothing other than gaining mass but will be improving from now on
The bad: I cheated my meals multiple times been eating too much peanut butter so had to cut it with something else life/work came in the way of my fitness goals am not where I should bemissed a lot of training from overworking**** doing cardio 10xweek on top of 5xweek of strength training
Current Weight: 148lbs same weight the past 3weeks but will be shredding reallll quickkk now #shreddedriri

I started to love swimming during my competition since there’s no impact on the ground and it’s less stressful on my joints. It’s the best (safer) way to build muscle, develop stamina & lose calories. Is one of the reasons why you don’t swim because of your hair? I do it during my hair wash day

coachriri Posing is the hardest and MOST important part of this whole competition. It’s soo uncomfortable having to flex, pose, wear plastic stripper heels & smile as if I’m having a good time. I gotta practice any moment I can even between my sets!! @_sof___ is doing a great job as my posing coach to help me look somewhat cute during these poses
