And the Sundin wait continues...

I wish that rumor about him going to Vancouver was true. They desperately need someone who can score now that Naslund is gone (The bastard).

I don't blame Naslund for leaving and he's my favorite player! And while I really want Sundin, the Sedins and Demitra aren't excatly scrubs.

Naslund couldnt score a goal on his best day

I have to agree here. Naslund is way past his prime. He's nowhere near the player he once was. Even though I don't like them at all, the Sedins have been the Canucks best scorers for the past two seasons. Naslund may help the Rangers with a 50, maybe 60-point season, but they're nowhere near filling the gaping hole that Jagr left by signing on to play in Russia. Even at his worst Jagr is good for 70 points. Adding Redden will help too, but the Rangers are looking a lot weaker than they were last year. They have no go-to guy.

Tampa let Andre Roy get signed by Calgary :(

They already have 18 forwards . André is a great guy and can help a team but where could the Lightning put him on the roster ? Even though I like him a lot , I really think this was the best decision to let him go , the team already has a lot of toughness , they obviously didn't need him back . They don't really need an enforcer .

actually, they did need an enforcer, but i guess that's why they went and got David Koci.

Sadly, the Sedins aren't enough to carry the team. They need more then two above-average scorers and one of the best goalies in the league to get them to the playoffs. Even though their my favorite team, I'm expecting them to finish in the basement this year.

I agree, they do need more than the Sedins and Luongo, but even if they had Naslund they'd still need a lot more. The West is pretty stacked, but they could be a dark horse bottom seed, so could the Oilers, but probably not.

I still say if Sundin signs, they finish at least 2nd in the NW division, and once you get into the playoffs with a goalie like Bobby Lou, anything can happen!

Sundin deserves to be on a team that actually has a chance to win the Cup (And that's coming from a Canucks fan). Out of all the teams known to talk to him, New York would be my choice (Not Montreal. It would just feel wrong, a Leaf playing for Montreal).

The Blackhawks may make it. Adding Huet should really help them out. The young talent on that team is unbelievable with Kane, Sharp, and Toews. Things are looking up for the team with the longest Cup drought in the NHL. Good thing Chicago had the Bulls because they have endured some seriously horrible streaks of failure.

And if this supposed rumor about them acquiring Kopitar is actually true, watch out!

I agree because Sundin is much better than Naslund, he could help them get there, and then Detroit would, inevitably, have to defeat them at some point in the Western playoff race.

If, by "defeat", you mean "sweep", and "some point", you mean "first round", you'd be right. They'll be fighting Edmonton for the fourth spot in the Northwest for the first couple months of the season, but sooner or later Luongo will run out of gas, and that mixed with the Canucks inability to score will send them tumbling.
