Regarding situations in which a quarterback is selected with the first and second picks in the draft. Is The team that picked second being polite to tell their guy that he was #1 on their board even if not true? Would he believe them? I probably wouldn't believe them. They would say it anyway.

Then a in go thinking how much drop off between the first and second guy must there be before the drafting team is no longer obligated? Certainly been years where that would be such an obvious lie but where is that line? These are fun things to think about when I am properly medicated (high).

Kyler Murray to the Vikings interesting. It must be somewhat unpleasant to be a Vikings fan at the moment. The quarterback who won 14 games for them is allowed to leave because they have to start the highly drafted guy whose cheaper salary allows the team to spend money elsewhere. The team is competitive enough to show that the previous year's success was not a fluke but not good enough to overcome the steep downgrade at the game's most important position. Previous guy wins Super Bowl. Team signs competition for highly drafted guy.
