Oh Boy, Giants and Patriots. Now ESPN can spend even more time talking about Boston and New York. Anyone else feel like the playoffs are a little diluted when a team who was 7-7 a month ago is in the Super Bowl? Meanwhile a team that went 15-1 loses just their second game and is out. Just sayin.....regular season don't mean a whole lot.
You've no reason cheering on the 49rs though. Please explan to me why you root for them
I jumped on the Steve Young bandwagon when I was 10 and have family who grew up in Stockton, California. Why? Am I supposed to root for the team that I happened to be born near?

They gave me the same shit with the Packers a couple weeks back, in my book as long as your loyal you can root for who you want. You don't have to root for the hometown team, check out the sports message boards all over the net, there are fans who live in different places and root for different teams, its where your heart is. There are all types of fans, people just have to deal with it.
I dunno. Round these parts we kill people over shit like this.

If I cheered for one of my home teams in particular I'd round myself up and kill myself too. I have no ties or bonds other than living in the shit-sticks city. I love my town too BTW.
Ahhh... if the Pats are to lose to anyone this year no team would be more fitting than the rematch G-Men. I still am having a hard time shaking the Packers loss last week but I'm loving the story-lines.... remember Eli's top 5 talk at the beginning of the year... clutch....

I have to say, i HATE the 3 hour Super Bowl pre game show. I know its a big game, but is it really necessary to start everything 3 hours early? Why isnt 1 enough.
The only time ill ever root for Eli Manning is when he plays the Patriots. He plays anyone else i wish him the worst (Chargers fan here)
ESPN's coverage is the absolute worst of the Super Bowl, always rehashing old stories we as fans have heard millions of times, they have wayyyyyy too much airtime to fill for a 2 weeks
